Best and Worst of PGA Tour talk on Sirius XM

My only problem with Breed was his low energy.

Call Big Lou, don’t hesitate . . . Got to admit, that’s catchy. And doesn’t the cancel-your-time-share guy sound exactly like the Cat Spot Litter guy? Has to be the same guy, must be doing a ton of voice-overs. Actually, I don’t care so much about the commercials. What irritates me is when the content is a commercial too.

Proposed game: whenever Pat Perez says “it is what it is” or “this and that,” we drink.

I listen regularly to three shows: (i) Hank; (ii) Inside the Ropes; and (iii) K& M On Tap.

By far my favorite is ITR; both CP and DP know their stuff and are both insightful and entertaining. I am a contrarian in that I enjoy Hank; while every moment is not scintillating, he is very candid with his thoughts and beliefs, particularly in going after the USGA.

I'm a frequent listener and perhaps I was in the minority when I was sad to see Fairways of Life leave sirius/XM even though I can still follow them by their app though not as convenient. I enjoyed their programming and I also enjoy listening to K&M on tap. Probably the best show on there is Freddie's show imo.

On a side note, I have never liked "Morning with Marr". The icing on the cake was this morning when he was berating kids in the Drive Chip and Putt national championship at ANGC for "taking too much time while lining up their putts." He complained that they were crouching down, reading putts and they were too slow. His implication was that these kids couldn't possibly know what to look for in doing that and were purely impersonating touring pros and setting a bad example for other kids. Then out of the other side of his mouth he said the game needs to grow.

Get a LIFE! It isn't rocket science! They are kids living their dream. Let them have their 10 minutes of glory. If my kid were there, I would want them to soak it all in and do their best.

On a side note, Stadler takes the cake for the worst. Norman isn't much better.

Did like how Haney said the things we are all thinking today .... Masters week is great but stop televising that ‘cute’ but boring and getting too lengthy preshot annoying Drive Chip and Yip contest. And the Par 3 tourney is fine too but that is all it is.

Masters is about the real traditions, the golf course, and rounds 1-4.

You're probably not a fan of puppies either. I had tears several times hearing the stories of the challenges the kids and their families face during DCP.

I do not like Haney for writing his book on Tiger but I do appreciate his show on XM. He's blatantly honest and most of the things he says, are things I've thought myself. I think he approaches golf from a fans standpoint and doesn't care whose feathers he ruffles. I also like Breed, though he's a little too energetic at that time in the morning for me.

Inside the ropes has jumped the shark for me. It used to be more focused on an insiders look at golf, but too much time is now spent on CP and DP's personal lives, not golf. Neither one is interesting or entertaining enough to dedicate more than 5 minutes per show on their personal life.

I like Out of Bounds with Pat Perez & Michael Collins.

Pat just went off about Secret Tour Pro (Landon Ashworth) right now, calling him a pu$$eee on air for accusing him of being racist and homophobic, trying to get Pat’s sponsors to drop him.

I love sports talk radio in general, and since golf is my #1 sport, I pretty much will listen to it to/from work in the car.

The Callaway fitting show is sometimes educational too.

Puppies are animals ... so yes, no fan of animals in a home.

Marr like many others are all golf ... giggle golf is for some, not for others.

Wonder what JC Snead and Trevino have to say about this comedy lol
