Longest run for a putter in your bag

My current gamer has been in my bag since September 2014 so it is going on 4 1/2 years. I had gamed a Scotty Cameron Inspired by Brad Faxon for a little over 4 years (call it 4 1/2 years as well). 4 1/2 years is the longest single stretch of time I have gamed any one putter. I had gamed a Ping Zing putter for about 4 years early in my playing days. I've gamed 8802 style blades (8813, Designed by Cleveland Classics, Cleveland Ben Crenshaw, Scotty Cameron American Classic VII) at various times amounting to about 10 years of time. I've gamed mallets, Ping Anser Dalehead, Anser styled, and TP Mills styled putters (Heritage, One, Cameron Circa 3) for some of that time. Like most of us, we're always on the hunt for a better arrow, the one that will bring the magic to our putting games.

 

At present I don't see any style of putter that will replace my Byron Morgan Epic Day custom putter. It has become very dependable and I trust it. It flows perfectly for my stroke. It looks perfect to me when I line up a putt, no distractions whatsoever.

I used a Bobby Grace F22 all of last year. I think it was the first time I ever used a putter from start to finish of a season with zero substitutions. I expect that to continue this year.

I’m tired of chasing a putter every year and I’m looking for a putter where I can have in my bag for a long long time. For that reason I’m getting fitted for the first time to find that holy grail.

Yes Tracy 2 has been in my bag since 2005 except for about 6 rounds where I’ve tried a few others. Made the cut for this season and in the bag again.

Putted with the same Ping Zing 2 for 23 years--- Still have it but not in the bag now--- It sorta lost it's magic a few years back-- Putters have been a rotating thing for me the last 5 years or so

Used same Ping Zing2 BeCu for 18+ years, have a few variants of the style, yet that particular putter remains my favorite and regularly returns to the bag despite occasional brief respites for bit of a mental reset.

For 17 years it was a Cameron Pro Platinum. Had an stainless Element made to different specs-34", 68* lie and 2* loft and it's fantastic. I've wandered around sticks since setting the Cameron down but it still gets rolled around the house.

Going on my third season with my current putter. last year i tried another one out for 3 rounds and then went back to the Scotty and the year before that i played a Spider tour for a month and a half but always come back. Now that i put the Stability shaft in the scotty i will be playing it till im six feet under.

I have a Ping JAS WTI Anser putter that has held firm in my bag for 3 years now. I occasionally try new things for a week or so but have always gone back. Great putter with amazing feel and very forgiving for an Anser style.

I has the original Futura in the bag for two years in high school. I don’t have the best track record with flatstick loyalty.

Currently playing the SeeMore Nashville z3c black (custom black shaft, Superstroke Flatso 2.0 Countercore Grip). By far the best putter ive ever used. Wont be leaving the bag

Bettinardi aluminum bronze bb2 that i got at the studio back in August of 2008. It has been in the bag almost all of the 11 years with the exception of a brief stint with a Spider Tour Red slant neck. And that was only a month. Is my stroke that good to use it, absolutley not. Is it a whole lot of fun and I feel like I make a ton of long putts with it. For sure.

I have others and they are fund to take to the range and stuff though

I live off the sixth hole at our local course. I’ve had rounds where I ran through my own backyard to grab a different putter out of the garage. Would love for something to stick for awhile, but it hasn’t happened.

 

I’ve got a Ketsch B that’s always in the rotation but they’re all on probationary status.

This self bought birthday present(04/12/76) was in the bag for 33-34 of the next 36 years. It’s the putter that Madison had Mr. Palmer sign shortly before his passing and Mitch sent me a replacement “The Wilson 8802” and Madison had one of her buds blacken one up for me. It was in the bag for my four Club Championships and my MP Title. It’s a great putter!!

Nope...mine are measured in single rounds...so about a 4-5 hour block each.

The original Odyssey White Hot 2-ball was in my bag for 17 years and it might go back in if I don't get more consistent soon with the Ping Sigma 2 Fetch. The ball pickup feature sure is nice through.

I've been using my original Odyssey Two Ball since 2003 and haven't played a round with any other putter.
