Excuses Opponents Give for Losing to You

Just throwing this in the mix for grins. We all play this game, right? LMAO, who among us hasn't been beaten out there many times? So far, I've yet to encounter that 100% undefeated golfer. I'm sure as heck not able to claim that one.

 

Funny thing is, a loss kinda teaches us how to tip the cap and shake hands without the need for excuses, no? LOL, It's done. Over. Already in the past. The win doesn't need a speech or footnote any more than the loss. That fact doesn't stop the excuses from ever happening, but interestingly, a true golfer learns to shake hands, tip the cap, and live to fight another day - win or lose. If some verbiage makes a fellow golfer "feel" better, then let him barf it all out, right? 5 minutes into the ride home it changes nothing. LMAO

 

Will share one last thought. Go play golf with a person of true disability. I've got money that says he or she will be the LAST person to make excuses. Those of you who have done so know exactly what I mean. The experience helps put all future "excuses" in perspective. Oh and be prepared. You might get soundly beaten out there. And if/when that happens, believe me, no excuses will be necessary - but you will have enjoyed yourself win or lose.

Par 5 1st hole, guy hits 2 great shots just short of elevated/sloped green....hits a really good little delicate pitch to about 4ft....gets up and hits a terrible jabby putt, pushed well right of cup....he then slams the grip end of the putter to the ground and walks away from it exclaiming, I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO PUTT IN THESE SHOES
