And some golfers find the chopping wood swing is the best way for them to find the fairway more often. So instead of changing their swing to something very unfamiliar, or comfortable to them, they try to compensate a little via equipment, to maybe _equalize_ the spin a little bit. And some golfers prefer the smaller look regardless of whether its a higher or lower spin model.

There is little chance there is a huge crowd looking for D4 size and characteristic...

Interesting that they would even bother with a product that they don't expect to sell a ton of. Probably had some push from players on tour, but I still think it's noble of Titleist to build a product without dollar signs being the only motivation.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great they are doing it. It just won't benefit very many people. From an unscientific standpoint, most of the high spin guys I play with have both bad attack angle and clubhead path. It's hard pressed for a less forgiving driver to fix that.

Just to add to what others have already stated....There is a growing crowd looking for the D4, who LIKELY shouldn't hit it at all because they don't have the swing speed and consistency to make it work. It's still shocking to me how many people claim they're going to buy anything sight unseen without being fit for it.

I'm sure there are a lot of folks here that have built up a collection of shafts and can do a self fitting just fine.
