I'm to the point where I'm about ready just to go with the full Rory set up and look like a real nerd but the Rogue Silver might be the one last shaft I try before that.

Thanks. That means the Silver is not for me.

The Rogue White definitely has less kick and is a bit more linear and stable in feel. Both are incredibly low spin. Give me a DM if you want to try one.

There's nothing that quite replicates all that outside of synergy black. It is remarkably smooth and keeps the launch up all while maintaining that tremendously low spin. Almost anything that spins that little feels firmer overall.

Yes, I'd be one of them. I went with the White 130 60TX, tipped per JTs specs. I've always been a high spin player and the last 2 seasons I've been relegated at times to playing Taylor Made drivers turned down to 6.5 or 7 degrees just so the ball wouldn't balloon on me. At a more playable loft of 8.5-9, forget about seeing spin below 3000rpm or launch below 13 besides the odd pull draw. This was with many many shafts I have tried over the last few years (I'm new to the game).

I was able to get on Trackman during a Taylor Made fitting this past weekend. While testing a 9* M5 head at standard loft and the weights shoved forward my best was 10.6* launch, 2083rpm backspin, 125.6 CHS, 185.7 ball speed. The Taylor Made rep just chuckled and said "Ok, we're done here!". On average I was around 2600rpm which is totally perfect for a my stock fade. The low 2000s hits were on straight balls or baby draws which aren't typical for me. But the numbers were there. It's good to know the equipment can do it, given the proper inputs.

Also, numbers aside the shaft feels like butter compared to the rebar I am accustomed to hitting. Good feedback off the clubface and not too harsh.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's really amazing how some companies these days have the ability to adjust mayerial construction and make these ultra low spin shafts so smooth and responsive. Gone are the days of needing to play a broomstick feel to get spin and launch down, so long as you choose the right high end product, which you obvious did. :)

After enough rounds with Rogue White I can say my 2 cents.

My past driver shafts recently include Synergy Black, Aldila Tour Green 2019, HZRDUS Smoke, and UST Lin-q black. Made the switch to 130 Rogue White 60 TX cut down to 44.75" and swing weight to D4. I have it paired with the TaylorMade M5. This is the best driver I've ever owned.

The ball feels like a total marshmellow coming off the face. How this shaft loads and kicks is incredible. Always feel like I'm in control. Synergy Black was a little loose, and Tour Green was a little stiff. This thing is perfect. Not as stout compared to Tensei Pro Orange from what I can tell. My stock shot is a 5-15 yard cut shot and this thing doesn't balloon in the air. It pierces through the wind on a cut shot. My ball speed is up 2 mph compared to Tour Green with the M6. Spin is about the same. Accuracy is way up. Seriously contemplating sticking one of these in my 3 wood as well.

Very happy to hear your results. I did exactly what you just said, stuck one in my m5 3 wood and haven't looked back. It's equally good in both applications in my opinion.

Shaft: Aldila Rogue 130 Black 70 TX (at 43" and tipped 1")

UDI: *** Under Construction ***

Irons: TaylorMade P-7MC 4-PW (1 degree upright)

Shaft: Nippon Pro Modus3 Tour 120 X

Wedges: Cleveland RTX Zipcore Tour Rack (Raw) 52.10, 56.12 & 60.12

Shaft: Nippon Pro Modus3 Wedge 125

Rogue Black 130 is a little loose for my taste. It kicks nicely and is very smooth feeling, but I like something a little more rigid feeling overall. Black would be my fairway recommendation for 75% of players, just not myself. If you play Rogue White 130 in the driver, you should also like it in the 3 wood.

I made a couple of minor swing changes yesterday which resulted in a string of drives in the 9.5* launch, 1850 spin range with a 9* M5. I have to confirm tomorrow with another TM session, but I may finally be able to move the adjustable weights back and loft up a bit. I cannot believe it.

gonna bump this thread --

i have been playing the silver 130 70TX now for quite a bit; for those who don't want the counterbalance nature of the white -- the silver is just awesome. low spin, mid launch and otherwise incredibly stable and smooth.

i've hit some of my best drives in a long time with this pairing in the last week or so. after getting my equipment dialed in for my us open qual next week - i'm sticking with this shaft. my fairways in reg has went up about 2-3 per round and thankfully they've been much more consistent with hitting different types of shots than the white was for me. cuts, draws, high/low...been like a warm blanket. knowing it's going where i want it to.

thanks again Aldila (and toll for being able to purchase this thing)

> How’s the Silver 130 70 tx compare to Kuro Kage 70XD. I’m a big fan of Synergy Black but I snapped mine at the tip and there wasn’t anymore in stock.

The XD to me felt like a smoother whiteboard of sorts. This is smooth like the XD but no kick that I've noticed. Very muted thru impact.

That's great to hear. You can really pretty much go 10.5 now or as you said, slide the weights all the way back for quite a bit more forgiveness.

What's the point of hitting driver sub 2000rpm? hitting the longest possible without any control? avg on tour is 2600

depends on your ballspeed, AoA and a few other things. i sure don't want to be UNDER 2000rpms. i know if i have between 2200-2400 it will shape or go how i'd like it to; any more than that and it gets a bit wild, and any less than that and the knuckleballs can start happening when hit high toe (where i like to hit it).

obviously if you can hit middle of the clubface, positive AoA; closer you get to +/- of 2000rpms will get you the max carry/roll you'd be looking for. (again, given ball speed and optimal launch conditions)

btw...kettle? black? (see your 2x driver shaft...) if you have that kinda arsenal --- how don't you know the answer to this question already?

He's not. That's his point. Now he can move the weights back for more forgiveness which will add some launch' and spin to get him around 11/2100 with maximum forgiveness for that head.

The point of what I said is that I had previously struggled to consistently get my driver spin and launch down unless I was using a 6.5-7.5* lofted driver with adjustable weights (if applicable) shoved all the way forward. Having now achieved launch and spin that is *too* low with a 9* head is something new for me. Which means I can maybe loft up and/or move the adjustable weights back to a more forgiving setting while maintaining optimal launch conditions. You don't want spin below 2000, these things were low missiles that fell out of the sky.

And it's a heck of a lot easier to add spin than it is to reduce it with the driver. You're in a great place with Rogue White 130.
