What flex? From my understanding, other than checking the serial number under the grip the only visual difference between the pro and standard orange is that the xstiff in the pro is labeled TX while the standard is X. If you have any other flex, there is no way to check visually and would need to check under the grip

Thank you. I will pull grip and see. Appreciate the input. I went with Stiff not TX

I think the new graphics have a tungsten periodic table-ish logo just below the grip on the Orange Pro and not on the std. Orange. I'm not sure how old the shaft in question is but if it says "Mitsubishi Chemical" right of the flex it should have the tungsten logo just below the grip if it is a Pro. If it is last years graphics you've got to pull the grip.

Weave pattern is the easiest way and no pulling the grip

It doesn’t, again the weave pattern is THE ONLY WAY TO TELL WITHOUT REMOVING THE GRIP.

Does anyone know how to identify which version I have based on the butt label? I'm pretty sure its a V2. Its a 60TX with Mitsubishi Rayon, but isn't etched with PROTO and does not have any markings toward the tip. The carbon weave goes up fairly far under the grip.

These are the labels under the grip.

That date sticker is a couple months after I got my V2 from TollBros and mine is as you described; no tip markings, long weave under the handle and no "Proto" designation. Pretty sure yours would be a V2 as well but it would be good to find out when V3 manufacturing started just in case.

Thanks for the response! I've read in other threads that the V3 is marked with Mitsubishi Chemical. Since mine is marked Mitsubishi Rayon I'm pretty sure it is a V2, but just wanted some additional feedback.

I think some the earliest V3s were still marked "Mitsubishi Rayon" so that is not a sure indicator I don't think. You're best off contacting the company directly with all the relevant markings on the shaft butt to find out for sure.

Received my G400 Max from Ping today with the Pro Orange, it says Mitsubishi Chemical, has the weave go all the up under the grip and has MR70 near the tip.

Does it have the W close to the grip?

If the question is regarding whether or not the shaft is the correct Pro Orange, only the Pro has MR70 on the tip.

ive noticed that the non pro has the weave go all the way under the grip now. not sure if mitsubishi are trying to trick people or not.

So the only way now is the Pro has MR70 by the tip and the W near the grip.

the way for the whites and the blue is the Boron Tip writing by the tip.

Driver: M2, Ventus black

3w: Mizuno st 200, tense I blue

In the CK/Tensei Pro Line ??

I have seen the AV line with the different weave pattern, but the higher modulous, higher end material “Pro model” shafts are Tour only and designated by the TX flex. Here is one I have.. At retail, no Pro AV available yet. 91db4a5igxd7.jpeg

And that shaft does not say boron tip, MR 70 etc, just the TX designation
