Trying out a new long iron or two, hows this for a mixed bag? I don’t even have matching finishes on the wedges.

I have as many brands, but not nearly as many different shafts.

Driver - Callaway

3w - TM

Driving Iron - Srixon

3-PW - Scratch

53/58 - Scratch, but might be switching at least one to Vokey Forged K Grind, at least until I remember how to hit out of greenside sand

Putter - Byron Morgan or Betti

I have Modus3 120 in the driving iron through PW, and then go to Dynamic Gold in the wedges. My driver and 3w shafts match each other (125MSI Rogue Silver), too.

Yea I think I am going to wait and see though, let some others take a crack at it and give out their opinions first. The previous ownership group really let that place go down hill unfortunately. which sucks because the Tribute was a really fun track. However, the conditions it was in when our group played it in 2017 were just awful and I can't imagine it got better.

I stayed in a house on the Classic last year during a trip, and they were maintaining the course, despite it being closed, so that gives me some hope that the new owners will get it together. Previous ownership was a total s*** show, that's for sure.

I ordered a Masters themed coin and headcover from Scotty Cameron Studio store that were released this week when I ordered a few other things. I decided I am going to sell them. PM me if you are interested. ATMG discount applies.

Headcover has all the years a Scotty has won the Masters which I thought was cool. I just have too many headcovers already.

Guys which course is "over priced"? I haven't played any of these: Arcadia, Harbor Shores, Bay Harbor (Links/Quarry)? Looking to play a late May round (birthday round) and they are all about $125-130. I know they are all nice but I thought there would be more price separation. I'm also concerned about weather and if I'm lucky I'd like to catch a nice 65-70*day, what's my best bet?

I take it you've never played any of them before?

I haven’t played Harbor Shores, but I’d say Arcadia and Bay Harbor are pretty fairly priced at that time of year, assuming you have decent weather. The only time I played Bay Harbor was in mid-May, and it was a beautiful 70 degree day with basically no wind. If it’s 45 and blowing hard, I don’t think it would be nearly as much fun.

As I stated, I haven't. I'm not asking if they are over priced based on quality, I know they are some of the best in the state. I'm asking which is overpriced in relation to the others? Maybe better wording would have been which is the best value at this price?

At the same price, I would say Arcadia>Bay Harbor>Harbor Shores.

Not what you are asking exactly but I do know that BOYNE is selling rounds on Monday to Bay Harbor for whatever the Winner's score of the Masters was on Sunday. For example, if the winner shoots 71 then your round is $71. I've never played Arcadia or Harbor Shores, but from everything I've heard, Arcadia is a bit better than Bay Harbor. I've played Bay Harbor about 10 times now and enjoy it every time. If the weather is cold it can make for a longer round but the views make up for it.

Anyone in metro Detroit or grand rapids area heard anything about the mitten golf tour? Me and my buddy are gonna try it out at Leslie Park tomorrow morning in Ann arbor. 18 hole 2 man scramble. 30 teams. 500 first place. Skins pot. It's a little amateur tour for weekend warriors.they have an east and west side tour. Seeing if maybe a fellow wrxer will be there.

You accumulate points and stuff. There's a Ryder cup style event at the end of the year.

I have seen the Mitten Tour on West Side of State. The opening Scramble was $100 a man which seemed a little pricey.

So for the mitten tour. Normally the events are 27 holes. This one as the opener was only 18. They split the groups into 3 flights. Championship 1st and 2nd. They grouped based on the first 6 holes of each 9. The championship flight was won with a 65. Me and my partner ended up in the 1st flight and we shot a 72. We missed 2 tiger woods knee knockers or we would have shot 70. We we're 2nd place. Our prize was 200 bucks. 100 cash and 100 mitten tour credit. We're just gonna roll our winnings Into the next event.

Are the skins split by flight or one pot for the field? Roughly how much total?

I have gone a year now with no changes to the bag. Only change that might be possible is driver. I hit the M5 last night and hated everything about it. I need to try the G410 and see how that feels. Tough part in testing drivers is finding shaft options and the right length shaft for testing.

dont tell me that! I bought a M5 head without hitting it. But I have played the M1 for a few years. hopefully it will feel a little more familiar to me than it did to you

Anyone played Belvedere recently? What are the rules for play? I read some (old) reviews online and it stated that restrooms were for members only and there was no where to purchase something to drink unless you were a member as the clubhouse was off limits for the public. Are the public players really just to use the port-a-jons or whatever is available out on the course. Can I buy snacks, gatorade, beer? Thanks.

> FYI today is Treetops day on GroupGolfer if anyone is a fan of those. I know they can stack the tee times there and there are some blackouts but it's still a pretty good deal for two rounds and one night ($129).

Got mine! It's a tradition at this point. We usually go in September when it's not as crazy. Drive up Thursday and tee off around 1 or 2. Party that night, tee off again between 8 and 9 the next morning and I'm back by the time my son gets home from school on Friday. It allows me to sneak an extra golf trip in with upsetting the wife haha.

There are restrooms in the pro shop, and I have also accessed the clubhouse restrooms without an issue. Snacks, water, Gatorade, etc. available for purchase before the round or at the turn. There is a little "old money" snobbery vibe occasionally from a small percentage of the members, but don't allow that to deter from playing this track.
