Scotty Cameron Phantom X

I like the nw lineup. Mostly because it’s a bold design. Very ping ketsch. Also similar to Bettinardi BB56 which is a highly underrated putter.

I had one of these Hogan Betti's in the day and LOVED the all aluminum feel/sound. Different but nice to me after awhile! So, the 12 WILL get a run in my Florida bag!

I have the SC Futura X all Aluminum with the four weights in the corners and this thing is solid. It sounds & feels more of a carbon putter than Scotty's Aluminum face insert putters. Golf Spy did a article when this putter came out a few years back and everyone thought it was carbon steel, so it will be interesting to see what these New Phantom X putters arel like.

Well, I exchanged the 5x for the 7x and happy to report, when struck on the sweet spot it has a solid feel/sound. Maybe it’s because the 7 is a larger block of aluminum than the 5x. I’m glad I tried another Phantom model.

Can you please post a picture of the putter from above addressing a ball? I haven't seen that yet and being a lefty, I'll have to order blind haha.

Thank you!! For scale, does the ball fit perfectly between the yellow lines?

I also ordered a 7. I like the lines of the 7, and they do frame the ball well. I didn’t care for the bedazzled center line. If you are looking something closer to a flow neck, check the .5 lines. They are supposed to mimic the flow neck.

It does fit perfect, I game a yellow ball....so it fits well between the lines. It’s like aim and stroke! I told a buddy, I now know why many pro’s use a mallet.

Would the X 12 weigh more, because of the wings?

When I tried the 12x, the swing weight felt the same. I didn’t check, but I assume the sole weights is lighter to offset the wings of the 12. The 12 was my 2nd choice when I exchanged the 5.

Anyone have a clue when the pre-orders ship? Going to be disappointed if I could have purchased in store before it arrives.

All the big stores claim shipping friday 12th. I would buy at the store if it isn't a special order.
