She is a beauty. When did you place your order with Lajosi? I placed an order 2.5 months ago and still waiting.

 

 

I placed my order on 1/28 and was originally told 2 week lead time. I also was wanting a cover that wasn’t available for another 4-6 weeks. Kari sent these pics today and said that the new batch of head covers are done and are with his rep in the states. I am also having a UST frequency filtered shaft put on, which there was a bit of a delay due to his usual supplier being out of stock and having to source one from somewhere else. So the putter is being shipped from Australia and the cover will ship from here in the US. What was your original lead time quoted at? What type of finish are you getting as this could add additional lead time. Have you sent an inquiry to Kari? He has always been very responsive when I had any questions.

 

Last email I sent was about 2 weeks ago and it was being milled. I’m having a brass center shaft putter made with U groove milling. I will follow-up with another email. Thanks!!

Is that a new version of the multicolor lizard headcover? looks smaller in the length of the neck so it might fit better in the bag...

Not sure if this is a new version or not as this is my first one, but this was from a new batch of headcovers that Kari had done.

Looks new as it has the Lajosi script opposed to his usual logo.

How long from payment should I expect a response from Kari? Expected a response right away to confirm he received payment but from what I've seen some people don't hear anything for about 8 weeks then they get photos. Just wondering if i should shoot over an email or wait.

For my 2 builds it was approx 3 months from payment to completion. I didn’t receive any correspondence from payment to the initial pictures. He’s a busy man and the more time he’s in front of a screen, the less time he’s building putters.

great, that was my though process as well. I'll probably shoot him an email after 2 months if I don't hear anything

For people with the wrap-around lizard on their putters, do you like a paint fill or not? I'm getting one but feel the paint feel not having it filled would look a lot cleaner and more subtle. Not sure if it pops enough without a fill

I now have around 10 rounds with my carbon DD201 and I have never putted better. People say mallets are easier to putt with but I love the control of a balanced anser style putter. My putter has started to rust and at first I was upset I let it get wet and put cover on it but now I love it. It makes mad putts and has personality!!

Kari said my putter will be going to the CNC machine this week so hoping to have some photos shortly. Getting a center shafted mallet style putter with a wrap-around lizard.

Picked up a couple of handmades. The copper is one of two pencil shaft putters Kari has ever made. It's going to him for some adjustments. The carbon is an early, smaller head putter that apparently can't miss putts on carpet so it's going into the bag this weekend...bumping out a DD201.

Those are indeed a new batch and script of head covers from Kari. A little birdie told me they are produced at the same place Swag and Tyson Lamb covers are made. They come with the magnets instead of the Velcro which is a big improvement in my opinion. I just picked up a Black with green Lajosi and the green lizard and green circle L on it. Very good quality.

Kari also has stock of the Stability putter shafts now. I just had one installed in my custom Lajosi LP7 and had my first round in a long time with no 3 putts. The shafts are legit.

For those of you that have both carbon and stainless examples of Kari's work, which do you prefer. Currently have a DD201 in carbon but thinking about a Sensor. Can't decide between stainless and carbon. I will be going with fine mill face, I like a solid feel but not necessarily super soft. I am guessing the stainless still retain a nice solid impact?

Likely to run with a flow neck this time.

I have had both stainless and carbon, and I would go stainless everyday of the week. I had both in DD201, same face milling, and I couldn't tell them apart.

 

Stainless much easy to maintain, so it gets my vote.
