Everyone is different so you gotta try for yourself. Take the ProV1, TP5 and Bridgestones version of the softball and I'm sure the comparison is close. Tour BXS for the Prov1 / TP5. Tour BX for the X Version balls.

> Was just at my store yesterday (day after Masters) and they seemed to be very well stocked. You don't see many people using these balls out in San Diego. Everyone has their TP5s, Truvis, ProV1s, and the new guys on the block having a go at golf with range balls as their game ball. I'm not saying they are looked over, just not as popular. I definitely see them used more in New England when I play up there.

> You have some absolutely amazing players there playing a very different and distinguished ball than most of the rest of the pack. Tiger undoubtedly went with the familiar feel from ball history as they made Nike balls previously and I am sure is getting a fat check. Dechambeau, I am sure is probably the only one of the rest that put in serious serious time trying out golf balls and comparing. The dude is a full on nerd but, has every facet down to a number and figure in his mind. Fred Couple and Kuchar are great players in their own respect. Lexi is lexi and hits the ball a mile.

> I'm gonna give these a try after I run out of my TP5 and Nike RZN Tour Platinum. But I also play off 17 so, I might not know what I'm talking about.

If i´m not completely wrong, i think Gary Woodland also uses the Tour BX now.

I’m just going off their website. It looks like he did or does use Bridgestone balls or at least at Masters. Wonder if he has a deal with them. He would be a great pickup for their team. Kills the ball and is a solid iron player.

Like others I really liked and played the older model 330s, new ones just weren't the same, so haven't played them in at least 5 years.

On the original question, sure, many will likely do the 'if Tiger plays it I must too'....might work for some, others who knows.

Bridgestone should definitely take advantage of this 30mins of fame for their ball and market it as hard as they can.

I had stacked up for the season buying a few dosens tp5x, but after some practice and a couple of rounds with the TourBX i changed my mind. It´s a complete ball in my mind, low spinning of the tee, great in the wind and great greenside spin. Soft enough to get that great feel of the putter too. Great ball

Man, I wish I still had a good stockpile of the RZN Tour Plats. Best ball I have played to date!

The Tour B-xs Is really , really close in performance to tour platinum....might be better but doesn't feel as soft off of irons....makes up for it with the distance gain

Kinda in between black and platinum for feel....but high performance! I'm not high swing speed guy so figured rxs would work better....guess my smash factor is high enough to get the job done.... 5-15yds ; sw up to 7i.....didn't hit driver with both today but I remember how long I hit XS last year.....

I agree with this. I went to the XS from the Tour Platinum and love it. If you want the lower spin, I'd go for the X. It doesn't feel hard, just not quite as soft as the XS.

My only real problem, and its a tiny one, is paying the full price for balls. I haven't found the "magical ball" that replaces the RZN Tour Platinum or Black. They are still, very much so in my mind, the best performing and feeling balls to have been produced.

I get help with Taylormade products and have a discount with them so, it doesn't quite make sense monetarily to pay full price with negligible results. I will definitely try some out soon though.
