How does the new Forum "Follow" option work? (Should be how to "Subscribe" to a forum)

What does Following mean? Will we start getting emails for new post? When will it start. I have a number of forums marked to "follow", but no emails yet. I know the below is showing "Unfollow", but I have already marked it "Follow". I have emails marked for every option but one. Yet not emails yet. It this function actually working.

Thanks, but that's not what I was hoping it would do. I don't want to have to come back to the page everyday or multiple times a day, then have to wade through my favorite forums to see if something new has been posted. Maybe some day we'll get the emails back for new post in watched forums!!

Although it was sometimes a lot of emails, I loved getting email updates from the BST forum. Is there a way to do this now that I am missing?

I should have listed this as "Subscribed." I want to be able to subscribe to a Forum like you mention above about the BST forum and get emails. I don't mind the emails, but I would also want the emails to have the text included. So I can pre-read and decide it I want to go to the site.

i still have no idea what the follow option does or the star 'bookmark' function does. simply want to button like of old where we could see the threads that have new comments since we've last visited that we've participated in.

In the Notifications section of your profile there is NO topic for being notified of Forums you follow. Whether there will be one in the future I don't know.

Have you tried poking around ? Experimenting ?

You can only follow FORUMS via the "gear" icon next to the forum title. You can VIEW the forums you're "following" via the mock up the MOD (GXGOLFER) posted above.

Clicking on the STAR, at the upper right of a TOPIC puts that topic in your "My Bookmarks" link at the right side of almost any page you're on.

We know that. It was the point of the thread. We had it with the old forum, when are we getting it back.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thred

I get constant reminders of a saved draft

I can not find a way to 'follow' a thread once I am in that thread

Do I need to bookmark the thread ( which doesn't always work) and then log in to find notifications or do I recivee an email of new posts to the thread?

Are you referring to the messages that comes up every 60 seconds or so while you're trying to type a post ? If so, that's the system saving your posted text just in case something happens, like you accidentally hit the "Back" button, so you can recover most, if not all, of your work.

You follow threads using the "Bookmark" function and/or, IF you posted in the thread it'll show up via the "Participated Discussions" link at the top of every screen. Never saw "bookmarks" NOT work.

I wouldn't think many, or even any, of the functions would work if you're NOT signed in.
