Just a more Classic Look as no black insert ? I have had mp52/mp58/ mp63 now. I bought a mp18 sc 5 iron in feb to test hit for a few weeks then bought the 63s at a great price.Buy and try before you sell the 15s! Search the Callaway MB Raw topic also! Im hoping that may be of interest.Your "tired old 15s" may actually be hard to beat!

I tried the SC's last year and at that time were playing the 15's. Like the look better on the SC's and they feel better. For me I actually thought the 15's were a tad more forgiving, possibly because I was used to them. I would say that if you hit the 15's well your not going to see any drastic differences if you switch too the SC's. If feel and looks are more important, than the SC's for sure. GL.

I think the 15s are more forgiving. That said, the MP18-SC is way more forgiving than I had anticipated. I played the 64s, then the 54s, and now the 18-SC. I think the 18-SC is much easier to hit than the 64, which I did not expect. The 18-SC is less forgiving than the 54, but they are easier to work. I get good distance off the toe on the 18-SC, but they do let me know about it. The feel on the 18-SC is the best of any club, for me. It's super pure. However, if you can get new 15s and they are exactly what you want (I'd ask about swing weight, length, etc.), I don't think you'll get a performance upgrade with the 18-SC. If you love the 15s, get them.

Firmly in camp MP-15. SCs were a no go for me. Only Mizunos worth an upgrade are 18 MBs or JPX 900 Tour. (Or wait til whatever the Fall release will be). ...but maybe don’t listen to me, I sold my 15s and ended up with a set of 54s. When it comes to irons, I’ve barely moved beyond 2014.

Totally disagree with everyone else on this thread, with all due respect.

I started with the original JPX 800 Pros. Then went to MP-59's, then MP-25's, last year got the MP-18sc. The 59's were my favorite club for a long time (I'm also a Luke Donald fanboy) but I thought the 15's were too 'clicky' for my liking. When I saw the new 18 lineup last year I thought for sure I'd end up back in the MMC but the SC had such a solid, flushed, yet soft feel to them. I absolutely love these irons. The straight 18s are obviously a gorgeous looking club, but for me, I lost a good half to almost a full club distance if I didn't nut it every time. I'm not consistent enough for those yet. I can't imagine you'd go from 15's to the 18SC and be disappointed.

I agree, I’ve never played the 15’s being a lefty, but I have played Mx 20, Mp 53, Mp 32, Mp 25, and now Mp 18sc and have zero complaints! I think they feel great and perform adequately!!

He’s hit SC and they are fine. Liked the blade best but it’s was by a negligible degree. Probably the top line as he’s a sucker for a fine top line. Thought the SC wasn’t such a looker with the bulbousity of its base bulge but it’s not ugly. Pretty clean. Nice bounce for JP. He plays mp15s and they are a 1/2 to full club longer and maybe better for toe hits, which is Pearsall’s miss. The 18s generally felt better to JP than the 15s. Both are terrific sets.

What shafts did you have on them? I went with S300 and they are $$$. I just switched from the 54s with S300 and the SC-18 feel noticeably better to me, and the 54s felt great.

KBS which is a shaft I love and have always had good results with. They just didn't wow but in fairness I'd like to hit them again outside. I thought the MP32 was easier to hit and felt drastically better though.

Gotcha. It's interesting how the different factors play into the feel and response for different swings. I do imagine it's hard to beat the feel of the 32s.
