It is normally a single opening but I am sure you can customize for either.

Yep...just single opening. Works just fine....no thumb loop either on this one.

Question for Mac owners, I recently picked up the Jones Players until I can pick up a Mackenzie and my main complaint with the players is it seems to tall and my wedges sit basically under the opening causing them to tangle everything. Do the Mackenzie's also have this issue?

I returned the Jones for this reason. I don’t know why they make them about two inches too tall

Its makes no sense, seems to be a major oversight otherwise its great but will be upgrading to a Mackenzie shortly

I've had a Mac (Walker version) for 10+ years. Haven't had a problem with my wedges - but do have that problem when I use my 33" Ping Kushin putter. Figure that if that's my only complaint about the bag - then I can handle it. Still love the Mac.

For you long time Mac users...how are you arranging your clubs? I currently use 13 clubs but have a walker on order and I'm wondering how you load your clubs, say headcovers in the upper portion and all the irons and wedges in the lower? Or are you putting some of the irons in the top portion as well to 'even' it out a little more?

I load all my bags (Sunday bags) 8 clubs (wedges and short irons) in the bottom half and 6 clubs (including putter) in the top half.

Top section for me is: Putter, Driver, 3 wood, UDI, 3 iron, 4iron

I pit all my head over clubs plus my 2 iron on the top area and irons and wedges on the bottom

Picked up a used Mac in dark brown leather it is amazing, will post pics later need recommendations on head covers from fellow Mac owners

So many good headcover options these days it’s crazy. I have knit covers from JuJu, wool covers from Seamus, and my favorite are some Harris Tweed and leather covers that Elliott golf bags built for me...amazing quality on those. Also, Mackenzie has a sister company making knit covers...Fore Ewe I beleive? I think any of those options are a great fit for a Mac.

If you are in Eugene...there's a nylon old school Mackenzie bag for pretty cheap on Craigslist. Have no idea if still available and looks like only in person pick up. If you get it, thank me later. If you get killed or kidnapped, sorry. ;)

As far as headcovers...I’d look to Seamus or Fore Ewe to design your own

Stunning bag mate. Did you do the custom builder or email them and go back and forth. Those colours are very close to what I’m looking to do! Any extras you added? Cheers.

Sven, I actually called to start the build because the blue/green color wasn't available on their custom builder. Then there were some emails back and forth with a mock up of the bag. Nothing else customized as far as rangefinder pocket or additional d ring. It took a little longer for my order due to the color but worth it in my book.
