Can't see United getting through v Barça.

My prediction: Juventus, City, Liverpool and Barça to go through.

About right, but porto are a very good side. Barca are frightening especially in the nou camp

I like this Ajax side

Nah said juve from the start with Ronnie adding the gold dust. They were brilliant the other night

Nice thread!!

Nothing better than a sport you can watch on TV that doesn't stop play for commercial breaks.

I used to worship English football in the late 90s and 2000s (I've been a Gooner since childhood) but watching the modern game over the past 5 years has often been revolting...and it's not just because Arsenal has been a bit tame :s

There's two things I detest in team sports - complaining to the referee and cheating in order to gain advantage over the opponent.

Nowadays you get about 3 or 4 players minimum protesting every fricking call, right down to a throw in on the halfway line. There is zero respect for the ref and even less so for the rules of the game. "Oh darn I'm about to lose the ball with my heavy touch...my opponent is just about to block my way and...I'll just fall down and force the ref to do something"

Still watching plenty of action but not enjoying the amount of BS going on during said action.

Rolling over Palace in the morning!!

Just goes to show you that it wasn't all José's fault. Some of these players are just not good enough.

I was thinking about this during the second leg v Barça: How many United players would make it into that Barça team regularly? De Gea? Maybe, but for the Barça style, Ter Stegen ist arguably better. Pogba? No bloody way. There is a reason they didn't match the price when they could've a few years ago

We will see how much pride they have on Wednesday. My betting is they roll over.

It’s a long road back, Too many big time Charlie’s and Sanchez on $500k a week has buggered you. That’s the starting point for De Gea pogba etc and any other top player coming in. Still cannot believe you spent that much, shocking decision

All are leaving so I don't care, Wednesday started well, enjoyed it.... City just went up a notch in 2nd half and that was that. But the roots are starting and it will take time, director of football is a must and good scouting is needed. Firing Ed woodwood be a decent start

I would say the first thing Ole has to do is stamp his authority on the place. Coming out with “I can’t park in Ferguson’s” old spot is weak in players eyes.

Not sure what his tactical nous is, whether he can affect the outcome. Time will tell; but I wouldn’t have given him a contract before the end of the season

Hindsight is lovely, they wanted a second lift towards end of the season so I could see why the did it. He's won titles in Norway at a club that has never won anything, it's Norway but you have to learn somewhere.... I like the fact he's gone somewhere and been kicked a few times then gone again. But it's a long round. Sunday first half was miles better but the players aren't fit enough which in truth is a disgrace.... But that will change for next season. As for next season, not sure what will happen probably just battle for 3-4th place at best. Europa league, well we won last time and its about uniteds level at the moment

Huge congrats to Liverpool. As a Barça fan I have to say well deserved. I just hope Valverde has to go now. His style of play just does not suit Barça at all. They play a very passive, defensive football and then hope that Messi does something. They were punished last year against Roma and yesterday against Liverpool.

City was at maine Road with the loyal 28-30k watching them each home game, I know alot of old city die hards from the 80s and 90s who haven't set foot in the new stadium. What they don't tell you about these city owners is the massive ticket hikes they did in 2012, cashed in on the arguo moment... All went up well over £100 and going up. But apparently they are the greatest owners ever, but tell that to the hard up working class person who can't go any more but had maine Rd to look forward too every other week..... But that's modern football, they couldn't get a rats about the actual local support.... I mean lokk at the two euro final allocations.... Disgusting

Biggest thing with them is their brilliant accounting. Thousands of empty seats, yet always full. Removing 300 people off the wage bill, yet setting up offshore companies to pay for them. For all of their clubs.

There’s many other things to come out, other European clubs are complaining but let’s see if UEFA have any balls to do anything

Some but most are local or from North West.... United have over 34k season ticket holders with manc postcodes. You have to be a typical bertie that makes up myths that no one I Manchester supports United ffs... It's my city and believe me it's red from the war and that won't change no matter what city do
