I did have a chance to hit the 7. Easier to hit than the Titleist MB and MP18. Felt amazing, honestly didn’t notice a ton of difference between them and my iBlades in terms of forgiveness. I toed a couple and didn’t lose a ton of yardage and the flight was still strong. This was on a club 2° too flat and 1/2” too short. Can’t wait for my set to come in with my specs. Going straight in the bag.

I tried about 50 balls each Blueprint versus iBlade versus S55, all 7 irons. iBlade and S55 were very slightly more forgiving. Accuracy, Workability, Distance, Spin, Trajectory, all very similar. The biggest area of differences were in feel. The S55 and iBlade felt better in that order. The iBlade is cast 431, the S55 is cast 17-4. Ping hasn’t been sharing what the Blueprint Forged material is to date. Possibly 8620, if it was 1025 or other 10xx carbon steel they would have said as that would be an indicator of a traditional forging and good advertising.

 

The rep. didn’t have a clue what the material was, but he had no clue what the others were either.. Still have a set on order but not impressed by feel on a small sample..was 65F, not windy..

So I your eyes there was nothing better about the Blueprints in comparison? And you still put an order in?

Had a set on order from the beginning, just didn’t cancel it. If I don’t like them I will give them away to a nephew. I could care less about the Tiger Woods irons but ordered a set (when they were “supposed” to be LE) to have a chuckle on the unveiling of the irons with the premium box. Those irons already were headed to another nephew who is a Big Ten golfer..

I hear you man. My wife is getting ready to drop some coin on a kitchen and bathroom remodel. I still need these in my life though. I bet you pull the trigger on a set before summer hits:)

There has to be a way to hide the cost of the blueprints in with the kitchen remodel without anyone knowing. :)
