Stockpiling your favorites

The only thing I have stockpiled right now is golf balls. I have a fairly big stash of TP5x.

 

At one time I did have three Nike VR LTD 3 woods. One in the bag and two back ups. Sadly, none remain.

I have at least 6 sets (56/60) of the original Mack daddy (illegal) wedges.

I wish I had at least one more Adams Idea 9031 5H - can't even find one on eBay.

Rtx 2.0 wedges cleveland 1 dot wedge prob have 6 of them! Then I discovered Miura wedges. And they are prob just about tied for performance.

I've come to realize I like a very straight leading edge on wedges and I love my MD Forged. My 54 is wearing out, so I'm about to go on a vision quest to buy a few more heads

I have a bunch of AP1 (712) 5-irons, 6-irons 7-irons and a couple 8-irons. I used to be partial to that line.

I just bought my forth set of ADAMS___ CMB's . Gonna reshaft & regrip em' and give them to a junior golfer.

For me, it's Ram Tour Grinds, and to a lesser extent, Ram wedges. Have seven or so different sets of Ram irons, and somewhere between six and ten Ram wedges of various types (Watson Scoring System, Troon Grind, etc).

 

Some shaft variation in the iron sets, but that's not really why I have them. It's a combination of having backups and a collection.

I stockpiled a good amount if Titleist forged wedges (Elk 61* and DLIII 54* mostly) no w I don't really know what to do with them.

The only thing I have truly stockpiled is Brunswick Precision Rifle FCM shafts. I have 3 complete NOS sets and several spare pulls in addition to the set I game, all in 7.0. I also have a NOS set of the pre-Rifle stepped Brunswick Precision 7.3 shafts and a really good pull set of Precision 6.5s. Several 7.3 pulls as well. They are my favorite iron shafts and obviously really hard to find so i'm happy to have backups.

 

I'm also in the process of really fine tuning everything else in the bag that works for me, which unfortunately seems to often be things that aren't readily available or being made anymore, so i'll be stockpiling those once all the testing is done.

Used to stockpile drivers I'd fallen in love with, balls that were to be discontinued, iron sets, putters, etc.

Found had a large collection of 'favorites' which depreciated to next to nothing value, and have been outdone by tech advances...

Lesson learned for me, don't spend a lot on stockpiling something you think will never be improved upon, because it inevitably will be. (Classic old clubs, excluded)

I'm trying to reduce stockpiling. The only club I have a "backup" of right now is my Cobra F6 Baffler. I have been looking for backups of the shafts that I like though, especially for adjustable clubs so I can quickly recover from a damaged shaft or use the spare shaft to test new grips.
