Trackman Accuracy?

2ball

Recommended Posts

I was at a demo day this weekend and I hit one major manufacturers driver, then went to another manufacturers tent and hit a different driver and the numbers were really different. Can Trackman settings be off or set differently? Or is it the shaft head combo. Range balls were used.

Details:

I currently game a TM M2 9.5 degree with a Tensei Blue 65g Stiff shaft (was fitted for it by TM)

Carry 236, SS 95-97, spin? not sure

Demo Day:

I hit a Ping 410

9.5 degree standard with a Tensei orange 65g shaft Stiff on it (that shaft/color is specifically for Ping I'm told, Ping doesn't carry the blue in that weight)

Carry 211, SS95, spin was high (more than 2300) - ball seemed to balloon and then drop

I hit a Srixon Z 785

9.5 degree standard with a Tensei blue 65g Stiff

Carry 236-241, SS 97spin was lower (2300ish) and more boring

Not sure.

Anyone else having problems replying on a phone? I have to hold down the quote link forever on my iPhone. golfwrx might want to fix that.

the IMPORTANT detrails is missing....

Its ALL about where we make contact on the face.

- It rules Ball speed

- it rules Launch angle

- it rules Spin value

Next time (on Trackman or Flightscope), take snap shot of ALL datas with your mobil, and pay attention to:

Smash factor (Ball speed / center of the face club speed)

Anything below 1.48 is not a good impact, and BALL SPEED is the most important for distance, so this is where it all starts.

Launch and spin value

Below the centerline of the face, spin is higher and launch is lower vs above the center line.

The same club/shaft/player can vary up to 4* on launch and see spin values from below 2000 to above 4000, ALL depending on where we make impact.

That means we can deliver the club "correct" in terms of club path, face angle and angle of attach, but still mess it up BAD if we make a impact to low on the face, and more than 20 yards on the same club is seen, so when we compare 2 clubs and / or judge LM numbers, we need to know Impact spot on the face.

ONLY if impact and all other datas is the same, we get a apple to apple compare, if not, our numbers is influenced from other parameters who hide the truth.
