Does anyone have a comparison between the 4 driver models (737s)? $149 is tempting

 

I chose 455 over 460 for better overall performance. Both clubs are forgiving and yields low spin looooong roll. It is incredible to see ball rolling up on hill.

 

also, on popolar auction site, Honma forged wedges listed for less than $100. Anyone can share the experience? I almost bought it but ended up getting Mizuno S18 for the known durability (boron).

I was tempted to pick up 737P but I like forged irons and my game level is not as good as for V series. Still happy with JPX EZ Forged until I find something else.

nice and slowly I am replacing old clubs with new Honma. I just picked up TW737 15 3 wood (regular bigger head) with red 70g shaft, the same as my driver. I will update the experience soon.

looking into replacing old 4 hybrid as well.

Ive hit the 717/737 and 747 and they were all really nice. Not too demanding (depending on series). I think they will make some noise in the US market.

I started gaming the TW 747v irons. I love love love these sticks!!!! They are long, forgiving, accurate and feel great when pured. My MP18 MMC irons will be traded in at Roger Dunn to purchase the new Scotty Phantom X putter.

Which model are you looking at to get? I have my eye on the X 12, loved the 6M didn't like the feel.

Finally I got to try new TW737 3 wood (15", 70g red shaft).

 

It was so awesome. I got to outdrive all of my (3) friends with their drivers. Consistent 250 yrds and more with decent mid launch and nice roll. Now I can't wait to upgrade my 22" hybrid with Honma hybrid.

I just bought the Phantom X 5. The look is great, but the sound when struck on the sweet slot sounds like an aluminum bat. Scotty should have used some of his 3M double sided tape to mute the sound, since the majority of the putter is made of aluminum. Might be trading it in for a 2019 Toulon Portland putter instead.

TW 737p is a phenmominal club. Soft but hot feel. Perfect medium size, medium sole width and minimal offset. These are inline with Rogue pro, AP3s, i500, Forged Tec and p790.

How does 737P compares to 737V? I assume P is more forgiving than V series.

The TW747 460 has my interest. I love the non-rotating alignment system.

Finally, I got to test new clubs today. All clubs were advertised as used but TW737 4h was brand new. The rest were barely used.

I didnt hit TW737 4h well today but TW747 5h was phenom with rock solid feel & mid flight with extra yds. 5h is 180 yd club but TW747 delivered 190.

 

TW747V irons (NS Pro Modus3 120)

* Look: they are beauty. Much better looking than 737V series, IMO. From top, minimal offset with fairly thin top line. From bottom, soles are bit fat; thicker than Mizuno JPX EZ Forged (EF).

* Trajectory: Definitely lower flight than JPX EF; I could not clear trees few times. But against 13 mph wind, it was penetrating with ease. the same distance as JPX EF.

* Spin: with Snell MTB Black, It gave me just enough amount of spin. Ball hopped once or twice and sat (depends on clubs)

* Feel: I expected softer feel but it is clickier than boron-fused Mizuno.

Agreed! These Honma irons knocked out my beloved Srixon 745 irons. They are that good! Driver, 3 wood hybrid and wedges also have made it into my bag. Here is my review. First time in a very long time my bag is set for a loooong time!!

I think it will take some time for the public to take on Honma. On Ebay, some barely used clubs are so affordable due to the lack of popularity. Many should totally take advantage of.

Had a Honma demo day at the club range two weeks ago and I was surprised. The new 460 driver was very nice, and the 747vx forged irons were also great. Nice feel, sound, and performance.

 

Although, not enough performance to kick my CF16 out of the bag yet.
