Taylor Made M6 on course reviews?

the m2 (the 2nd one) was the best driver I've ever owned up there with the G15 and 983K.

I'm still trying to replace it but nothing beats it. TS2 is slightly straighter but not as long. Rogue is longer but not as straight. Epic Flash SZ is a rocket but not forgiving. ...... M5 was Poooo. Need to try the M6 and Ping G410.

Coming from M4 D-Type 9,5° (got it originally because it sits square), to M6 9° I have really struggled on the course.

I have had problems finding the correct swing weight for the M6, had trouble with face contact because the face is so much shorter from top to bottom. M6 to me has been very fade bias, and I hate the right miss as a RH player. Sound has also been a bit off, the better I make contact the worse it sounds to bystanders..

The M6 alignment aid tends to line the ball up closer to the heel -> I have had problems hitting the M6 off the heel. I have to start with 1 ball length closer to the toe to middle it.. Have had 4 different shafts it it, and had lessons to check my swing also recently so it's not my technique.

To me M6 was beating the M4 in numbers comparing it indoors on Trackman but on the course I have yet to find anything with it.. Will keep trying for a few more rounds but if it doesn't start to perform, I'll just sell it.

You where asking about how it sits, it sits perfectly square, no worries about that. But it does ship with a hideously long shaft of 45,75", would recommend ordering it as 45".

I had the 16 M2 in 10.5 with a KK Silver 60 Stiff. Nothing I found could beat it but I decided it was time to upgrade and ordered a M6 10.5 with EF Blue 65 Stiff. It was a mistake for me. Although early testing was good (of course I sold my M2 during this period), I found that I couldn’t keep the M6 in the air long enough. I tried multiple shafts, but it didn’t seem to spin enough and the ball would just nose dive. I moved over it the Ping G410 and have been extremely happy with it.

Currently trying to find best set up between my M6 with PX Evenflow White T1100 and Epic Flash Subzero. Flash is loooong but the M6 is just forgiving distance which is very difficult to argue with. I think it may need a little more weight in the head.. Anyone else feel like their M6 head is super light?

I have the orange pro in mine and I will say it's not low launch for me.It's the 70s. Also it is very straight, not sure how long yet but so far a good club. high draws is the flight. More forgiving than my m3 for sure , i was surprised at a few heels that went well

Re headweight, yes, it's fairly light at around 193g stock excluding adapter. I got a heavier screw plus some tungsten putty to get it up to 202g and much prefer it like that (at 45").

A simple 7 - 8 gram M4 weight from Billy Bobs or Ebay solves the light head problem.

I hotmelted my M6 to 201 grams after cutting it down 1/2 an inch. Upgraded the shaft to a GD AD IZ 7s and hitting bombs. I can hit power fades and draws (draws when swing is on) with it. Couldn’t be any happier.

Dented the face on mine today. Was getting some crazy ball flights. Spoke to the rep who got me a new one already. Have a trip coming up next week and could not be driverless. He will send it in for warranty.

“Anyone using Billy Bobs weight in the M6 notice the 8.5 gram won’t go all the way in? The threads are all in, but it sticks out some.”

Anyone else experience this with the 8 gram billy bob weight?

I have had this same issue, ball just drops from the air, no spin. I wonder if my head is somehow defective..

I have noticed small cuts on the driver face where I can almost stick my nails inside the fissure, wonder if it's just a face texture thing or maybe a defected head?

I got out with my M6 9* atmos red. Im a slower swinger than most WRX peeps , about 98-104mph. I usually get about 250 total distance, This driver was the same as any other driver until I hit it with perfection twice. One went 305 and the other was 290. 305 was hit with a 15-20 mph helping wind. I like it. I tried it at the range with a 44" shaft and i couldnt hit the sweetspot. I think it was too light. Put the 45.75 back in and hit middle of face more often. Overall it felt more forgiving and a little longer than my m1. Only thing I would change is I would get the 10.5*. Im a low ball hitter. Maybe add 5g weight to the head?

That sounds more like a defect than anything. No way you should see cuts like that under normal play.

Did a fitting at Club Champion a week ago and the M6 with the Ventus 6s shaft came out on top of all the others. That combination increased my ball speed by 9 mph. Got the club ( not from them ) yesterday and will take to the course this afternoon hopefully for the real test.
