Didn't bother me a bit, but there was just a little Billy/Billy confab in the fairway and he apologized, all is good.

 

Even funnier - he is a Zurich Ambassador, so I'm guessing that's why Kratzert was out there helping him save some face.

Wish I had seen that, I have absolutely no problem with Billy saying that. From what I have the seen the fans aren't exactly out of control but idiots that shout at things like that at players need to be tossed.

So, I have the golf on in front of me but I have spent the night on the laptop organising a golf trip, looking at clubs I can't afford on ebay and generally doing anything other than watching the golf. I haven't watched a shot since the two South Africans chose to play army golf.

This tread is struggling to make three pages and I find myself spending less time here and making fewer posts.

So. Is it because we are all waiting for June when the new/old WRX's makes it's return because the current iteration is so uninspiring?

Or, is it because the PGA Tour has got it wrong by top loading the big events and consequently nobody (even WRX'ers) are now interested in the lesser events?

Or, has everyone been Tiger'd. He is back but he isn't because he is not playing and if he isn't playing nobody is interested or watching. They are saving themselves for the next time he turns a mundane 12 page thread into a 120 pages.

Or, is the format which is Ryder cuppish without the edge?

Or a mix of them all?

This event is two rounds of foursomes and two rounds of four balls.

It’s a TPC course, it’s not going to be anything special. The TPC network is blah as can be - take anyone of them and drop it in any city and it will be just as nondescript. Aside from Sawgrass I think all of the TPC courses were designed from the same template, you could take a few holes from several of them, mash them together and never know you had left one design for another.

Usually tournaments take place at media & gallery friendly places for the sake of camera coverage and management. Years ago, LPGA tournament took place at Trump National in LA suburb. But everyone hated because of the layout and landscapes. ; You can't jump over holes. Lack of camera spaces. And many other reasons. Perhaps TPC may be boring, which I agree in some sense, but there are more hidden variables to consider.

I was entertaining myself trying to create a portmanteau out of the team names. Pahmer or Rahmlmer, Stallinax, or Mullanings, Hurlanati III, Gaybbatini - the list is long and distinguished. Holmes and Watson need no further tweaking.

A couple of A listers with a majority of B/C guys (Tommy's my fav but yeah he's a B list guy) makes this thing pretty uninspiring and like an exhibition event. Just look how Koepka is teaming up with his brother. Does he really care enough to win this event or just wants to give his bro a chance at getting into the big leagues? If there were some xtra wagers involved maybe. They just haven't gone very far as far as making it more exciting.

Snoozefest indeed. I don't find these events fun to watch in anyway. I mainly watched to see if Sergio would have another melt down

it was pretty sad. This is one that I tuned out for and I watch almost every event. Glad to see Palmer get a win though, I have always been a quite fan of his.

I agree, worst tournament every year.

Basically New Orleans in April is going to rain... and it does, every year.

 

Combining bad weather, bad course, blah...

Could not wait for this week to be over.

 

And Rahm is a cry baby... used to like him when he first came on tour, with his fiery attitude, now it is just old.

 

Even the eurotour event was not that great this week.
