The Great Masters Heist

Have never really understood the money thing with AN. Of course attractive from a seller's perspective. But apart from this ticket thing, they also, as I understand it, an enormous gift shop there for patrons to buy stuff in. That must be like closed 340 days every year. For what? To reduce the annually fees for Warren and Bill? Or is it some mafia guys in the background that makes zillions? You would think money wasnt much of a problem for this specific golf club. Or are Warren and Bill there as a business opportunity?

Here is an older article about the $. Some things you may not expect, for example, TV not a big revenue source, foundation, merchandise explained a bit. A lot of charitable giving not covered in there. Apart from the tournament lots of $ needed to invest in the club itself. Of course they want to make money, lol, but they could make a lot more. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.golfdigest.com/story/the-masters-finances-ron-sirak/amp

That private club gets to distribute tickets any way they please that doesn’t violate the rights of a protected class (no tickets to Jews, for example). If they want to sell 100% of available tickets in premium ticket packages at high prices, that’s their right. Some generalized definition of fairness has nothing to do with it.

Thanks for the laugh. (Shouldn’t you be in Iowa explaining how prisoners ought to be able to vote?).
