I played the Apex for 4 or 5 years, Wilson Staff FG Tour M3 for a year prior to that. Adams Idea Pro Black 9031 for a long time before those.

I always liked a more "iron like" hybrid, and other offerings were too big or I wasn't able to control distance/trajectory with.

I just put a G410 19* ( turned to 20*) in the 3 slot as I wanted a bit more forgiveness in that space as I've gotten older.

It's a little bigger than my previous favs, but so far I'm happy with the consistency and the ability to flight it down when I need too. Probably going to get a 22* as well.

Without a doubt Adams Pro A12's best ever, still playing them. If you can find any Adams Hybrids in good shape grab them.

I love the Pro A12s. I used them for quite a while. They met their match with the Taylormade M4s. I'm not sure if its the shafts or heads but these are long and forgiving.

Having issues (like many others) with my 816 h1 hooking when I try to get after it (love it otherwise). Thoughts on it being more of a shaft or head issues? Heard some newer hybrids are less draw biased. Recommendations?

Play around with hosel setting first. If it is set in A1 and it hooks occasionally, try the B1 setting as it is a bit flatter lie angle. Has helped me in the past. The C3 hosel setting is the flattest/most fade according to Titleist chart.

I always played Titleist hybrids until making the switch to PXG. The PXG hybrid feels incredible and really performs. I am in the process of ditching my 4 iron and adding another hybrid. Just so easy to elevate.

I've had a few that I liked but none I loved. Kind of gave up on hybrids and would occasionally try another one. Recently I saw a sweet deal on a 20* ping anser. I may be jinxing myself here but so far a month into the season and I haven't hit a bad shot with it. Stock ping shaft and for about $40 it's been a keeper.

Yes, adjusting the hostel setting will make a difference. Just note that C3 is actually a slight draw, C1 is the most fade. Check your surefit table.

Alternatively it might be a shaft issue. The good news is 818s come with Fujikura Atmos which is a great bargain because the shaft itself can purchase a full club which is why I changed from 816s to 818s. The bad news is more money spent. ?

Yup, my mistake on that one. C-1 is most fade like you already stated. Don’t want anyone to get/have wrong information.

I have a soft spot for hybrids & I go for the larger type that resemble mini fairway woods. Some of my older favorites are the Taylormade RBZ (original) & the Nike VR_S.

Current favorites are the Cobra King Oversize, Titleist 818H1 & Ping G410.
