Anyone playing these? Specifically the 5/6 at 17* with the Atmos Blue in it.

Just wondering about impressions.

At 17* that's a 4 wood, not 5, so I'm wondering if these launch high, and does the lie get flatter if turned down to 17*?

Any insight is appreciated.

I play this exact setup, the 4/5 head set at 16* with the Atmos Blue Tour Spec shaft. The slightly higher loft gave me extra carry on my 3 wood which is what I wanted to accomplish but the spin stays decent and it's very long overall. My only gripe is that the lie angle is too upright so I tend to draw it. I usually play a fade so it's not something I'm used to seeing. It's a reliable draw though so it's handy on holes I know I need a right to left shot.

Sounds like you're playing the F9 Tour head offered as 3/4.

The regular F9 only has 3/4 and 5/6

I have the F9 5-6 and very impressed. I am using the senior shaft and these are so easy to elevate the ball. I would like to try the reg shaft to see the difference. These clubs are a blast to play. I am destroying par 5's now, not on in two but the third shot is way under 100 yards. I was having trouble with consistency and height with other 5 woods, not this one!!

I can’t speak to the regular ones, as I play 2 of the Tour version, but these are my favorite fwy woods I have ever played. The sound, feel, performance all wrapped up in small little head.

My response is probably not of much help, but maybe better than nothing. I have the 3 wood (14.5) with a Hzrdus Smoke and have no trouble to elevating it.. that being said, that was not generally a big issue for me before, but my perception is that this flies higher and further than my old Callaway Diablo Octane 3w. Really happy with my purchase so far.

I play the f9 5/6 at 19° to go with my f8 3/4 at 16° and this combination has been the easiest to hit I've ever had. I always struggled with fairways and opted for hybrids but I've dropped my hybrids in favor of these clubs. Have them both with the NV blue and the 5 wood launches high and lands soft. The rails really are like cheating as I've put a few bad swings on them and had that uh oh feeling of a fat shot only to look up and see the ball flying like it was pured.

Well said Haber, my thoughts exactly. I hit one bad and it fronted the green like nothing happened, and i go up and see that and like... really! I just ordered the 7 wood as these are a blast to play. I will put them in play this sat in a tourny.

Had one of "those" golf days where I would have been better staying home. The driver and fairways woods were doing their best. Got a chance to hit the 7 wood and really like it. Both fairway woods are staying in the bag. That 5 wood is just amazing every time I hit it.

I went to a non tour F9 14.5 from a tour F8 and am much happier. The F8+ 3w was a bomber off the tee but I never really got comfortable with it. The F9 is fine off the tee, a little shorter and it spins a bit more and allows me to control my distance/rollout better. With the F8+ I could be anywhere in a 30 yard gap off the tee depending on the bounce and rollout due to the low spin, with the F9 my distances are much more consistent, which is what I want from my 3w.

Off the turf, the F9 is simply the best 3w I have ever hit. There is no lie that concerns me with this thing, unfortunately i don't have the need to often hit it off the turf however, but it's now an option when I need it.

I had shots that needed to be real special to get my a.. out of jail, and these deliver. Behind two trees and a gap to get through, no problem at all. In the rough and need to get out, no problem. In the rough and need to get to the hole, I actually over shot the hole underestimating the power the 7 wood has out of the rough. These deliver!

Same here, never been so confident in that part of my game, great off the tee and turf, new smoke seems a good match also

I also went to these from Rogues and am very happy with the decision. These are great FWs.
