Trackman Target Selection?

I'm fortunate enough to have access to a practice facility with several Trackman LMs, but unfortunately I have often found them to be aimed incorrectly. The first thing I always do before a session is correct the target selection through the TM software, but I'm not sure I'm getting it totally correct. The left/right aiming is simple, I just stand a club at the centerline on the LM projection screen and then line up with that after going into target selection mode. What is not clear to me is where the target crosshair should be vertically (i.e. height).

 

The Trackman Operator Training manual seems to contradict itself when it comes to this. (See pic attached). It states "The crosshair should be placed at the bottom of the target if visible in the image". It then shows the crosshair at the bottom of the screen in front, or at floor level. However, the zoomed image in the top right corner of the slide shows a target selection that is clearly further out towards the horizon in the simulated range.

 

Can anyone please tell me what I actually should be doing here? Or is the height of the crosshair not important?

Also - does anyone know what the blue line represents in the target selection screen?

To simplify it, if you are able to see the HOLE, thats where we set the target, if we cant see it, use the bottom of the flag (or what ever you choose as target)

Thanks Howard. I guess technically then I should adjust the aim as I progress from wedge to driver since the 'hole' would be further and further up on the screen. Although I'm guessing at that point the difference would be so small that it would not be worth the hassle. I guess I'll aim it at approx 200 yards out and leave it at that...
