A legend that can be had for 50 bucks on eBay! My kinda club. I bet she still holds her own with the modern drivers.

The 07 burner line was one for the ages. Hands down the best fwd I ever played.

Never played it but the 905R comes to mind, and also what's in my bag currently, 2016 M2. Just snagged a great condition head for backup! Best part of this model is there's no cracking carbon composite on the sole!!!

I would say the list is about 4-5 deep, all others are just bandwagon wannabes. 9015D, 905R, 2016 M2, GMax, and maybe one more. The Gmax might even fade off that list in a year or so, but the others will remain.

Thank you! I was shocked I had to get that many posts in before some one mentioned the 9015d. I played that driver till last year. Only stopping then because it broke.

I don’’t know if the 9032LD grew to “cult” status however it was a a beast for me and Maddie put another shaft in one of my back-ups(I’ve got 5, counting 2 Sellingers)bn84154fgvcf.jpeg

u12y6bnm22vb.jpeg

and she rocks that baby, lol. Yea, it’s also pink?

Ya can’t tell from the pics but that puppy is 4* open~

Hey, I eliminated half the course, lol

Jeff is spot on regarding the 9015, though I moved on to the 9032 cuz of the specs.

Cheers?

I honestly think its the best driver of the modern era for "better" players. It was essentially perfect in every way. Appealing pear shaped head, crisp thwacky feel, deep but not overly deep face, more forgiving than the 905R, and low spin with mid launch , and an open face.

That's the whole essence of "cult" classic. I mean this was Adams for god's sake. They weren't the establishment. But this driver was just _perfect_....and guys started hitting it here, and it was like "you gotta try this thing trust me"

> This is another one of those topics where the parameters need to be defined. Cult following as in biggest in general or biggest for an otherwise dark horse sort of club? Because to say that the 975D or the '16 M2 has a "cult" following among golfers is like saying that McDonalds has a cult following among burger lovers. That comparison is regarding popularity and is not meant to insult the quality.

>

> The first thing that came to my mind was the Adams 9015D for sure.

Cult following to my mind means many different things, but mostly:

- A LOT of people got good results from it

- It went "under the radar" to everyone else besides WRX'ers

- It is still in high demand many years later by better players

- It is a 10 year old club that is not going to be cheap or readily available on eBay

I doubt the Hi-Bore 2 wood or Long Tom were popular back in the day, but are considered unicorns on this site now, and good luck finding one on eBay for less than what they retailed for. Reason is, because it got a lot of traction around here, and now whenever one pops up there are a lot of bidders.

The 9016D Proto(Tour issued) Insight XTD(8.5) with the Fuji Rombax 6Z08(S) was also a Beast, though I don’t know if it ever made it to retail. Maybe through Sellinger. I had a Bud who was a Sellinger Staffer and he got me one as it was a legit “Tour Issue.” I gave mine to my Tour Bud after he hit it and he at the time wasn’t locked into an OEM. He subsequently and to this day went with TBAG though he says that that 9016 was the best that he’d ever hit of the metal drivers. He made that comment in 2015ish so I don’t know about the recent stuff.

I had the UST-Mamiya Accra SC65 M4(S) in my 15 and that was a sweet shaft also.?

Adams had some very very serious drivers as the 9064LS was also a superb stick though I didn’t particularly care for the later released adjustable model.

Stay well?
