I did the same thing, dropped the 3w for the longest hybrid I could find. For me it was the Rogue *17 with a lower spinning shaft.

Adams Black Super Hybrid 15*, 17* or 19*. Hits like butter and flies like no ones business. Plus you can find a brand new one between 30-75 bucks. I got a 15 and 19 degree. Took out the 3 wood a while back.

I have an Apex 19 18degree on the way with evenflow blue.. they said it wasnt available in L/h but when you click on custom shafts it magically appears and it has been shipped.. not sure if you could do the same thing with the 16 in a RH

I just made a similar switch. I went with a Ping G410 17 degree. I did a fitting at Club Champion, and tried the Callaway Apex, Titleist 818H2, PXG, and Srixon. The Ping won out for me.

What's the Apex look like at set-up? Does it look draw biased-closed, square or open in your opinion?

I recently did a fitting out in Carlsbad and my complaint was my inconsistent yardage with my Cobra F8. The fitter watched me hit a few outdoors on trackman, and thought that the F8 hybrid's center of gravity was too high for a guy who sweeps the grass with his hybrid, which is me. He pulled out the Apex, which wasn't a good fit for me, then the Rogue. The Rogue was an immediate match for my swing. He said this made sense since the Rogue hybrid has a lower center of gravity. I went back and forth between the F8, the Apex, and the Rogue and it was about as dramatic a difference in performance as anyone could expect. My point is that our swings do play a role and need to be matched to the appropriate club, and that is why everyone swears by a different club as being the holy grail.

Played my new Adam's pro minis again the weekend. Never played a longer hybrid also had no hooking issues. Nice fades all day. I tried to hook it on one hole and it went dead straight.

here is my 20° behind the ball. Sits relatively open to my eye. The slot on the crown is a bit deceiving compared to the face though.

If you are looking for a smaller, anti-left hybrid, try finding an Adam's super lsp hybrid. They were tour only I believe so hard to find but they should be dirt cheap if you do find one. They are bombers for sure

Just a quick update on the Taylormade M3 H2 I purchased from a member. It came with a couple Stiff shafts(Diamana and Speeder) that were both too soft for me so I bought a Matrix Altus X and have used it once. Matrix shaft was a huge improvement for me as I prefer an x shaft. First round with it I had 265 yards over a creek and between 5 different traps(Pete Dye) and I hit it on the green. This was the exact shot I couldn't make it to the green with my 3H before. I missed my eagle putt but had an easy birdie. The M3 is NOT a hot club and honestly I don't feel the explosion or ball speed off face like I do with my Cobra Biocell. The Biocell just feels so much better and the quality is much higher imo. However, the M3 fits the slot I needed and I have already seen evidence that I can use it and feel confident on long Par 5s when my drive falls short(wind and wet conditions in midwest are providing zero rollout). My 3 wood with that shot would have been too risky and I would have been in a trap or out of bounds. My 3H would have come up just short of green and I would have needed an excellent pitch shot to get a birdie. I also used the 2H off tee on a short 310 par 4 and fell 40 yards short of green but in middle of fairway. Just a safe club to play with excellent distance. I am very happy with my switch and cannot imagine a scenario where my 3 wood makes it back into my bag.

2019 Apex is longer than anything I’ve tested this year. Ordered 18* 2 flat, no issues with lefts and low spinning.

Get fitted for a Henry-Griffits Praxis series. Great design, unknown by many but they are bombers. Has no offset — may even be a little face forward. More like an iron than a fairway wood. Doesn’t go left, does go long.

The 1h above has a 12

The 16 Apex came stock w 6g weights and my 19 4h had a 7g in it

I saw the apex today for the first time. I personally thought it was dead square and I loved the lead edge and top line. It’s one of the best looking hybrids I’ve seen. For the record I don’t like how any of the Callaways look..(my preference not knocking) but this apex is sharp.
