Colorado WRX 2019

Turns out, I think the only day in May I can use my Ridge at Castle Pines vouchers is Saturday, May 11. The caveat is that I have to play early-ish, like 8/9am, because I have family stuff starting at 3pm.

I was looking at the Colorado offers, and pretty much any golf course worth bidding on only allows for Monday-Thursday tee times (or worse).

On another note, we drove by Deer Creek on Sunday on the way home from A-Basin, and the course looked packed.

And on a happier note, I won an auction for Ping S55 irons (3-PW w/ DG X100 shafts) for a darn good price.

**ColoradoWRX Outing Proposed!**

=======

## The Ridge at Castle Pines, Saturday, May 11, 9:30 & 9:40

Hey all, I was able to secure 9:30am and 9:40am tee times for Saturday, May 11. (Per the golf course, that was the earliest available.)

Cost: $55/person for round of golf, cart, range balls (I think?), beer, and brat.

If there is space available I'm interested.

Shoot me a message with your e-mail address.

The only person that has dibs in my group is seven dewey, but I believe he has golf league that day (Noodler also was going to play, but he is doing FRGC at Indian Peaks that day). I'm not sure how many in DaVinciGolf's former group can play that weekend.

I need to ping seven dewey, because he has dibs with one of my vouchers. I think deadsolid is also a maybe.

I would be down on splitting this with others if there is enough interest. Could toss in Awari Dunes or Bay Side as second course.

If a group could get TPC for $400 might be worth it, though it does not include cart fees. Have not played personally yet but 4-5 friends I play with have and everyone of them says it overpriced? Anyone here play it? Agree with "overpriced" or is it that good ??

100% agree that it’s overpriced. It’s what, 150-175? You’re essentially just paying for the TPC name. I was playing it for 75 last summer with a member and that was about as much as I’d be willing to pay to play it. It’s a fun course, but for $175, you can play WAY better courses. I think Bear Dance is a much better value (probably $50-75 cheaper).

I have twice in the past two weeks. The greens are getting better, but were a little sandy the last time I went. I think hole 15 still has a large amount of GUR in the fairway, but that could be gone now. Other than that the course is in good condition and is my go to right now in terms of condition for cost within 30 minutes of Centennial.

And that answers the question if worth bidding on the package LOL. Thanks for the reply

Hey, others may disagree with me! The conditions will probably be really good/hard if you got out there around that web.com event, but that’s really the only selling point...but overall, I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who’s gonna tell you it’s worth the price tag.

Agree. It's a good course but not worth what they are charging for it. A member I work with told me the member guest rate is $120 now, along with their dues going up after the clubhouse is finished. So yes if you got it for $100 a person and assuming they don't rape you on the mandatory additional cart fee it's not too bad compared to their regular pricing. If you can play it somewhat near the tournament, it would be a good deal if you never experienced a course under tournament conditions.

They're taking full advantage of their location up north without any real competition and have more than enough members to support it. If you do have an interest in playing it this would be the year to do it, as it's never going to be better than it is now due to houses going up around it.

Cart fee is $20, so it’d be like you’re paying the guest fee....and I agree that it’d be a good time to do it unless you’re a fan of residential golf because that place will be lined with houses soon.
