Curious to see if these are made the same as the milled wedges. Say what you will price,etc. Those milled wedges are something else!!

Trying to rival the other OEMs for too many SKUs or has the population that wanted to overpay run out and now needs some budget minded players. Still a private company so no shareholder pressure. Or maybe Bob is finding out the old joke about "how to become a millionaire in golf club manufacturing, you get a billionaire to start or buy a golf club company", has some element of reality..

The PXG designer came from PING right?

 

If I showed you these photos from address only and asked you to guess the manufacturer, I reckon 80% would say PING.

 

Not saying it’s bad, just that they have captured that PING appearance

Spoke to a PXG today and the response I got was this is currently a prototype iron with no plans to release it to the public at this time. However, he also said they have been getting lots of calls about it. Maybe toward the end of the year we will get lucky.

Well I know I was one of those calls about them! Maybe a fall release if they decide and kick it into high gear, my assumption . I could only hope.

The look is very similar. The price tag on the blue prints is going to be high enough that some wanting those may look and say pxg is not out of reach. Just my opinion, willing to be proven wrong.

I just wasn’t following the “beating to the punch” since the blueprints are being released soon while these are just prototypes. I agree with on looks at the address position. If these do come to market and are 2500 I agree it might pull some of the blueprint buyers. I bet they will be around 3k.

If these are milled like the Milled wedges, it will be really something special. I have only heard of 1 100% milled iron head back around 2005 with the legendary RAC Milled irons. Only 25 sets were ever produced. I would be disappointed if these were not manufactured at that kind of level.
