i210 vs i500 3i distance question

I am looking for a "driving iron" type club and currently play i210's. I tried the G410 2i but even though i have the speed could.not.hit.it ha No clue why but 7/10 shots were heel fat, toe hooked, chunk pulls and the few I hit solid never got above 10ft off of the ground. So I am looking at an i500 3i or possibly an i210 3i in the power spec loft. My question is I know the lofts are stronger on the i500's and the actuall shaft length is longer as well so is that what makes them longer iron for iron or is it the technology in the face? So if I have a 17* i500 and a 17* i210 both at the same length will the i500 be inherently longer?

The 500 has a spring face the 210 doesn't (at least to the same extent) so by definition the 500 has more distance potential. Whether that potential is realized will be affected by launch conditions and your ability to find the center of the face on both clubs.

If you couldnt fly a solid 2 iron above 10 feet that means you dont have the speed despite the speed you think you have.

 

with power spec/lower loft, youll fly it 5 feet.

 

im looking for a power spec 1 iron so i can fly it under ground.

You're pretty funny, don't quit your day job though. I've got the speed, trust me. Just couldn't get along with it. I've hit others with no issue, Rapture DI, Apex UT, TM UDI. Besides the i500 3i is 18* no issue there. Just to humor you..
