> So while I wait for my Atmos to come in (backordered) I have taken the F9 out with the Evenflow White and Hzrdus Black. Evenflow came with the club and I had the Hzrdus. Driver has been inconsistent at best. When I hit it well it goes, but I am really all over the place with it. Blocks, pulls, etc. I hope the Atmos solves that. Something about Fuji shafts and my mortal swing just seem to work. Brings me to the F9 3w with Atmos Blue 7x. Thing is money. Absolute money. Hit a pair of 260+ yard shots with it yesterday while playing (just stupid long for me - was even in wet conditions - humble brag part of post lol). Supremely confident in that thing. First 3w since the Ping G25 I can say this about.

> If i cannot get the F9 driver dialed in I will either go back to my trusty LTD Pro or give the M5 a go - the M5 got very similar numbers for me.

I'm having a hard time getting the F9 driver dialed in too. I cut the shaft down to match their tour length, added the appropriate weights and it helped a little. Since then I've put a 10g weight forward and the 18g in the back, that definitely help lower the ball flight. Considering putting the 14g back in the front with the 18g in the back. It has gotten longer and straighter the more weight I've added. Now, the F9 3w, I just bought it Friday night on a whim. Saturday at the range I was bombing it 240+ (which is long for me), Sunday on a Par 5 that requires a layup before the lake, I normally hit a 3w and it comes up about 20 yards short of the tree I am for. My tee shot landed about 5 yards past the tree. Every bit of 255 with the roll, and it was wet too. Off the tee or deck this thing is Legit.

The F9 driver is one of, if not the best driver I've owned so I've no reason to change shafts, but you know how it is right.....I have a few used ones on their way for testing; Fujikura Speeder Pro XLR8 63x, Fujikura Evolution TS 661x, Oban Kiyoshi HB 65x, Attas5 gogo 6x. I may add 1 or 2 Mitsubishi shafts just for the fun of it. Hopefully I'll remember to take some pics of the LM numbers and post them soon.

Extra weights came in late last week, playing at 45” D3. Best results so far is 6g forward and 14g back. The thing just wants to go straight with the occasional baby draw.

F9 driver is officially on life support. Last chance will be my chrome shaft from my LTD Pro. Still have the pro head too. Just cannot get a good feel for the stick. Atmos black 6x was very inconsistent, which surprised me. Oh well. The 3w aint goin nowhere though, that thing rocks. Had a promising 1st range session with the F9 4i (utility at 19*) too.

I was just about to pull the trigger on an order of one in tour length with the 70S smoke. Hopefully that's a good stock combo out for me compared to my LTD with the red hzrdus.

F9 with the Accra TZ5 has been brilliant. Enough so to temporarily knock the M5 out of my bag! I get a few more yards on well struck balls and the sound to me is much better!

Have you checked the swing weight? My F9 head was significantly lighter than my LTD Pro. If you throw it in your elements chrome — I have my LTD Pro in the chrome 7F5T — it’s going to swing weight into the C’s is my guess.

Try grabbing some high density lead tape and put 6” or so of it on the bottom.

I can let you know what my LTD Pro SW is in the chrome and I’ll throw my F9 head in it and see what the difference is and I can give you the exact amount of lead tape to use to match SW. I won’t be home until Saturday so I can let you know then if you’re curious.

To add to my previous comment. Once I got rid of the Cobra Connect Arccos grip and added a standard grip (1extra wrap) there was a decent jump for me in performance, not huge but noticeable. That standard size grip weighed out at 62g with the sensor.

SW in F9 w/ Chrome is D0 - I have a scale. (I had put it on scale earlier quick - thought it was closer to D1, but didnt have my glasses on, lol)

SW in LTD Pro w/ Chrome is D2.

I mean I am guessing that could be the issue? Have to think 2sw points shouldnt make that much difference - but maybe it does?

Anyhow, took the chrome to the range last night and hit a bucket. Performance was better, but not to LTD level. I also moved heavy weight to back (14g). I do not like to tinker allot - either something works or it doesnt. All this fuss with the stick is annoying me. The F9 3w was plug n play and Im loving it.

Mine got the official axe this week (ie sold it). I hate mismatching woods for some reason so not sure what to do with my 3W lol

Ive hit the Speedback 4i twice now. Mine has the DG105 x100 shaft in it. I posted my findings in the F9 irons thread. It was very forgiving. Bit bulky for my liking, and not sure I can get past that. Felt nice. Im able to center virtually every shot, which is a plus. Not sure if its going to replace my Tmb yet. Forgiveness>Looks? Im vain - so who knows what will happen.

I am guessing you are still using the stock 2g weight coupled with the 14g weight. I had a ton of consistency issues too and then added weight to the front center of the F9 head and things changed significantly for the better. I ultimately caved and ordered the 6G weight from Cobra. But you could cheaply experiment with tungsten stick ons or tape. That said the other night I brought out my trusty F6 and didn't notice much difference between that and the F9. So, there's that.

Yes stock weights. Im going to add some weight to the front where I have the 2g weight, see what happens. I hate tinkering to get something to work though - its annoying AF to me.

I've got mine at Tour length right now, with the 10g in front and 18g in back. Going to try the 14g / 18g and see what that does. 10/18 has been the best so far, but still just a weak high fade with no roll. Wife got me a driver fitting at CC tuesday for my birthday, going to try some other shafts for the F9. If I can't get figured out there, its up for sale.

I'd still give it a try. The feel and sound are awesome, especially if you're comparing it against the new offerings from other brands.

Also I just got back from my first lesson of the season...my troubles definitely are with my swing and not the club! LOL.

Just picked mine up for $180. Unbelievable deal. Used to play Rogue Silver 60s in my D2 - this one came with Atmos Black TS 6X. Theres a hill with yardage marker at my local range and I can tell I'm at least 10 yards of carry - probably closer to 20 - with this over the D2 after hitting them back to back. Seems incredibly forgiving as well. Sound and feel is amazing. My first Cobra driver. Hopefully it isn't just honeymoon as it seems from this thread that it is a bit temperamental.

I'm having an issue that hasn't been mentioned (at least in the last few pages of the thread or so) wherein I'm getting awesome ball speeds on the F9 dialed down to 7.5* but I just can't turn the ball over to a draw. I know the face is open due to the club being dialed down but I'm just not getting any decent dispersion at all. I'd rather not flip the weights to the heavier one in the back due to me being a higher spin player, but I'm wondering if that's my only option at this point to promote a more draw bias. FWIW I hit a draw with every other club in the bag. I don't really want to go back to my TS3, but I can't quite get the F9 to be predictable.

Hope it worked out for you. I'm thinking of ordering that setup regardless, as the club is now back in stock (was backordered for a while).

Been another rainy weekend here (12th in a row), but I really got my LTD dialed in, still want to jump ship and get the F9 to see if I can get even more out of it. Hopefully this rain stops for once.
