Anybody currently bagging an obscure ancient club you pulled put of the garage?

Thanks for the info, guys. The CS is a new one to my memory. I think we had three in the UK at the end of the '90s (the DL III, BF and ELK).

Prior to my full bag club fitting last spring, in lieu of the M4 hybrid I was hitting a V-Steel 7 wood with an NV85 shaft. Not obscure, but kinda ancient (15 years?) And prior to THAT going in my bag in the mid-2000's, I was hitting (and loving) my Founder's Club Fresh Metal 5 wood with a 21* loft.

I’m finally replacing my 1997 Taylor made oversize irons... I’m thinking about trying to dye them a fun color and put new shafts into them... it’s a slow plan as I currently don’t have the cash to buy the clubs I actually want to play right now!

I still put my Cleveland hibore 2 wood in the bag every once in a while when the 3 wood is misbehaving off the tee and use a baffler off the deck. Still a very cool stick.

I'm using the original Solus wedges, 51/56/61. They have been in there for probably 10-15 years and have never even been threatened by anything else

All of my clubs are old and obscure from mainly the depths of my dad's garage... Ping eye2s, ping myday putter and ping karsten iii sw.... Plus my srixon driver is my dad's, the most modern thing in my bag from 2009

I’ve replied to a similar post in the past, but this still applies: I’ve had my Top Flite Intimidator 3W in the bag since ‘95 or ‘96. I know everything she can do, and haven’t found a reason to change.

My playing partner still bags an old ping eye 2 5 wood. It was his grandfather's and he's been using it ever since he found it.

I didnt find it in the garbage, .. .but I have a 1979 model Wilson R63 Sand Wedge, a.k.a. Sandy Andy. Its a beast and IMO, the best wedge ever made for soft sand and fluffy lies. It has battle scars and over the years, Ive attempted to replace it with the latest and greatest, but nothing has beat it out yet . So, it's still in the bag

Just played a round with an old favorite 3 wood, Mizuno T-Zoid Blue Ridge, Exsar Platinum Stiff. I probably got this around 2001/02. Still a sweet looking club, beautiful dark blue crown (no marks). When struck just right still sends the ball a good distance down the fairway. Hit it twice, both decent shots. Today, I took it out once again for a later date.

 

I do regularly game a Mizuno Tour MZ 2 iron (1st gen maybe @ 2002?), stiff Mizuno stock shaft, used mainly off the tee for short tight driving par 4's. This one never leaves the bag...

Sorry for the old bump but this is a great thread. I game a Cleveland 588 60* lob wedge and I doubt I will play anything else. That thing is solid and can do so many things from 40 yards in.

A gentleman I occasionally play golf with is 76 years old. He still uses his father's putter, which his father purchased in 1946.

Not quite retrieved from the garage, but for years I have been playing Mizuno T Zoid Forged 3 and 5 woods. The 3 is great off the tee and the 5 flat out works from the fairway. I have tried various newer current fairways, but find them too big to look at. I keep toying with the idea of something new, but nothing beats the T Zoids!
