Sunglasses - do you use them on the course ?

I would if the Oakleys I ordered online would ever arrive. Ordered on Monday with the promise of 2 day shipping for orders over $100 but the order status still says "processing" with an estimated delivery date of the 16th.

I did. Turns out they are out of stock. Can you believe that?? Further they said that they didn't know when they would restock. I asked for a refund so I could just buy in the store. Good thing I did. The store had a Valentines Day sale going on with $35 off all frames and 50% off the second lens. They also gave me a hard case and a microfiber cloth/bag to me for free as well. What I would have spent on the website $211 turned out to be $240 but I got a lot of extras and I have them in hand.

I got to wear my new Oakleys yesterday with the Golf Prizm lenses. I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the contrast that's quite noticeable on the greens. Unfortunately, the sunglasses didn't make my drives longer or straighter but I'll keep and continue to wear them anyway.

i do to keep out allergens. If not I would scratch my eyes out during the spring and summer.

Check out Smiths they have several that have interchangeable lenses and most come with a couple for your initial purchase

Lol, that's what I do. I can't seem to commit to wearing them well hitting the ball. But it's good to have them on the rest of the time for eye protection, as the sun takes its toll on your eyes with the glare.

Always, and they're MJ Polarized. Doesn't effect me at all with green reading and other polarized myths.

 

Also good eye protection, it was sort of sloppy Sunday, got a face full and eye full of divot...had to flush my eye with bottled water, so even though cloudy wore my MJs rest of round.....my playing partner did same about 4 holes later.

I play in some cheap knockoff wayfarers from Amazon. I've got more expensive ones, but I'm afraid of losing them or breaking them. These are cheap ($8 per pair), polarized and I'm not worried about them getting left out on the course.

Costa Del Mar Jose’s are the only thing I wear. Sun’s out, Costa’s on. They fit tight enough that they stay still while I’m swinging but not so tight that they’re uncomfortable. Well worth the price tag.

I got LASIK about 15 years ago and would play with sunglasses with no problem.

A few years ago my vision started to fade and I'm about 20/30 now. I started wearing glasses again. (Crappy thing they don't tell you about LASIK is flat corneas require specialty contacts.) I bought a pair of prescription glasses with PRISZ (i think). I can't play in them to save my life. I can't explain it, but my golf swing goes to hell. I've tried several times to get used to them at the range and it just doesn't work. My vision plan covers another pair of frames and lenses. I may try a different brand without the dark polarized lenses.

I play in the Flak 2.0 with the Golf Prizm lenses or the Targetlines with the Black Prizm. Sometimes I think the rose tint to the golf lens just brightens things too much when it’s already bright out and my eyes are sensitive to bright light. Not sure if you’re a contact wearer but Acuvue just came out with the world’s first transition contact lens and I’ve actually really enjoyed those as well. They still recommend you wear glasses but it’s a gamechanger.

yeah i got the flak 2.0 with golf prizm with the asian fit and they fit great. the thing i dont like about them though is that Face ID doesnt recognize my face in them so its a PITA trying to use my iphone on the course when i have them on. so i basically stopped wearing them. i'll only wear them now if its really bright and sunny.

I recently picked up the Tech One Pro with Rose non-polarized lenses from Electric California and they are really nice. Comfortable, stay put, and good coverage. I recommend them.

I used to play without sunglasses all the time, but the past 2 years I've had Oakley Half Jacket 2.0 with the prizm lenses. Tried to go without them my first few rounds early this year, and during the round was fine. But each night after the round my eyes were really irritated and dried out. Went back to the shades for the next round and no such issues. Can't go without now.
