Did it again. 11 over on the first 9; -1 on the second 9.

Buddy of mine who at the time was an 8 or 9 handicap shot 47 on the front and 32 on the back. Literally forgot how to play for 9 holes and then striped it for the other 9. Golf is just terrible.

I’m usually pretty consistent with my scoring, no huge swings.

 

Yesterday, 37/52 for high round of last two years!

2 weeks ago I played my home course and shot even par on my outgoing 9, shot 6 over on my incoming 9. Yesterday was completely opposite. I shot 6 over on my outgoing 9, and shot even par on my incoming 9. I was 1 revolution away from having birdies on 15 and 17 and completely misread an 8' for birdie on 18. I've never shot under par before on either 9. Golf is a game of inches and those inches lie in between your ears...

Only done that once that I can remember. Playing qualifying event, played the first 4 holes about 12 over. Gave in and realized my chance of qualifying was all over so all the pressure was off and I just went for it the rest of the day, I can't remember exactly but I think I played the rest of the day about 2 under on a very difficult track. That was fun.

Yep, this is my specialty. When I go low on the front I start thinking, man good round in order. Then I double 10, almost guaranteed.

Started this weekends round birdie birdie and managed to puke out an 86. Not pretty.

Had a similar round the other day. +9 on the front and even par on the back, could not make a putt on the front but couldn't miss on the back. That is one of the great things about golf, no matter how bad your first 9 is you have a clean slate at the turn and chance to make up for it!
