You gave up on them after 18 holes?

Just like many of us, we play other brands for awhile (or yes, 18 holes then an annulment:-) we go back to our comfort brands. For many of us, Ping is home. Mizzys might be his?

Yes. I guess it's just a comfort thing and being a picker, maybe the bounce of the 919F works better for me.

I really thought I'd like the 410's over the 700's I bought last year. Spent an hour last week on the range with both side by side and I am definitely keeping the 700's in my bag. Other than liking the sound of the 410's more, everything else about the 700's won out performance wise for me. The 700's were clearly a 1/2 to full club longer and did better on mishits. Flight was identical and dispersion better with the 700's. I really thought I'd end up buying the 410's but not after I demo'd them against my 700's.

Question, I'm gonna get fit for a set of these for father's day. I'm sure I'll need minus a half inch and undersized grips which will be even more weight, how does Ping get the swing weight back to a decent level? That screw in the front or what?

With the G410 irons, PING puts weight in the toe screw and in the hosel to achieve desired swing weights. Doing it this way vs. the CTP weight port is supposed to improve MOI. Just make sure you request a specific swingweight when you order and PING will build to that.

Yes, I played the G's and G400's each for a season. For me, the 410's have taken the term "forgiveness" to a whole new level. I call the feel very very solid.

I ditched my G700s and prefer the sound/feel of the G410s. Could not be happier. G700s offer slightly better distance with a hybrid like sound. Half a club longer for me. I’ll take the solid feel of the 410s all day. Same stopping power. Couple feet from landing.

Really interested to play the G410s for a few rounds. Normally, I question the "this is so much better" comments from people that seem to habitually upgrade with every release. But a lot of comments are also coming from people that played the G25s and seemed to have passed on the Gs and G400s after trying them a bit. Need to find a demo or rental set I can play for a week...

Wow. If that doesn’t make me want to buy them, I don’t know what will. Now I play the waiting game of finding a used set on BST, etc

I moved from Zing 2 (1997-2017) to G for 2 years and now the G410. They play a club longer than G for me. The forgiveness on toe hits is night and day from the G. Moving from CTP to tungsten in toe helped immensely. My only issue is getting used to the new yardages.

The funny thing is how close I came to hating the 410's! The first time I tested them it was kind of a cold dark day and about 50F. Granted, I was hitting range balls but they felt like total crap. I went back into the store and the teaching pro asked me what I thought of them. I told him I love Ping but I don't like these at all. They felt harsh. After reading more posts I convinced myself to try them again. This time inside on flightscope with good balls. The light came on and I saw what everybody else was seeing. Do yourself a favor Ned. GET FIT! I'm 67 and not a big hitter by any sense of the imagination. I ended up with KBS Tour stiff shafts. They out performed all the other shafts and I tested them all. I can't stress enough to pay the money and get fitted. Oh, it doesn't hurt that the 410 is the best looking Ping G series iron at address they have ever made.

I have had the 410's for less than a week. I've only had 2 short range sessions and 2 nine hole rounds. I've been trying to think of the words to describe what feels like total disbelief after the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th ... great shots in a row. Longer than I could dream, and height Ive never been able to produce. So I'll plagerize Bron from Chicago & JMH1220,

"AUTO CORRECT"

"Forgiveness to a whole new level"

I just picked up a set of Mizzy Hot Metal Pro's in same shaft as my G410's, Modus3 105's STIFF soft step 1 time.

The battle is on but it may not be long?? I'll UPDATE...
