Thoughts on Ping Tour driver shafts

Looking at buying a G410 Plus and saw huge gains from my 2017 M2 with a HZRDS Yellow 6.0 with that Ping Tour 65 shaft in stiff. Any one have any thoughts on it that gamed it for awhile?

Tour 65 is a solid shaft. The Tour Shafts from Ping all perform really well for me.

I ended up with a G410 in the Tour 65 in extra stiff. Was kinda surprised by this, but the dispersion was much better overall.

The Tour 65 is a stout shaft. An extra stiff should hold up to a Koepka level swing.;)

I had one and found it launched too low for me. The tip is super stiff. There is a soft spot, relatively speaking, in the profile mid-low towards the tip to aid launch, but it wasn't enough to salvage my low ball hitting tendencies though.

I’ve always launched the ball pretty high so I’m thinking it may be a good fit. I was told it the 65X should play around a 6.5 on PX scale so we’ll see (actually they said slightly softer than 6.5 smoke and even flow). Swing speed was averaging around 110-111 when I was on the monitor today.

I have been struggling with my driver lately. I have games the pro orange for about the last 2 seasons. I just switched from a 70 stiff pro orange to the 65x ping tour. The ping shaft feels a lot different, I feel a pronounced kick with it, it also launched slightly higher and spins a bit more but I hit it much much straighter. I can also turn it over and the pro orange was hard to move from right to left, for me. I have the Ping Tour 65x in the driver and 75x in my stretch and they are great shafts.

Id echo all the comments above. I play a Ping G400 LST with a KK Dual Core XT X Stiff.

Used a Tour 65 X Stiff in that driver for a round and it flat out performed. I hate to say but i found the dispersion with Tour 65 X to be even tighter than my gamer shaft!

Similar to the above poster, I played a G400 LST last season with the Tour 65S shaft. It certainly brings down the launch and overall flight considerably. I'm a high ball hitter and it worked out well for me.

Ping Tour 65 is a GREAT shaft. Everytime I throw it back in my LST I fall in love with it.

know the Tour shafts are made by UST and slightly counter-balanced?

think they resembled the UST Chrome shafts when I hit them

I tried the 65x tonight in a fitting and my 101-103 mph swing handled it ok - I thought it felt quite smooth, it had a bit of a kick and kept my spin at a steady 2500 - loving it, definitely needs some thought for a purchase - I played it in the 10.5 head (turned to 11.5) and was hitting it about 245 carry on the Trackman, running to c 260-265 with tight dispersion.

Anyone ever retipped a ping tour shaft & put it in a Tmade head ? Might experiment curious if anyone has tried it with another head
