G400Max or G400LST

I would like to upgrade from my Callaway X2Hot driver and I see a lot of people recommending Both the G400Max and the G400LST. Im not a big hitter, usually about 230-240 always a fade and misses are slices. Anybody have any opinions on one vs the other. Im kind of leaning towards the LST cause it seems like my balls are a little spinny and was hoping to gain some distance and be more forgiving than my current driver.

Max...all.day. And yes....I 2nd the fitting. It’s a great club and once you get fitted, it’ll really come alive. I started with the standard Alta shaft in 10.5....ended up with a Tensei orange at 9.9 deg.

LST tends to have a fade bias. If you fade...and miss is a slice -LST might not be for you. But you should try to hit them on course before any conclusions

Agree with poster about LST being fade biased. I went to get fit and assumed I was looking for the shaft for the Max but all metrics better with LST. I would keep in mind that my experience - and that of others here - is that the Max is a relatively low spinning head - my spin numbers with the LST and Max were negligible.

I have the Max with a Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki 63 at 44 inches. Best PING driver I have ever owned.

I really can't comment on the Max, but I really like my 400 LST. It's a fairway finder for me. I have the 10* that I loft up .5*. I would try both if possible. Good luck.

I did schedule a fitting for next week at IMG Academy here in FL. My current driver is 44" in which I cut the stock shaft and added lead myself so probably not ideal and I know with the new driver I'll want to get it perfected. Sounds like Max is a low spinning fairway finder. Either way Im excited to upgrade my current setup!

Max with an ATTAS Coool shaft. Right shaft is key. Started with the Alta, moved to an Evenflow blue, ended with the Coool. Initially I couldn't understand the hype about the 400 Max, but the right shaft makes a world of difference in this club.

Played both and preferred the max. Though I would like to hit a lst with my gamer shaft. May change how I felt about it originally.

I was convinced that I wanted the Max. Fortunately at my local shop my fitter had me try both and my carry and direction were much better with the LST. The numbers on the sim have translated well to the course. Now that’s just what worked for me. The Max may work out best for you. Get fit and try both and get the right shaft.

I do like how the 410 is 10.5 and can go up to 12*
