50*, 54*, 58*...all with S400 Tour Issue in them. MUCH better than the stock KBS (even though I play the KBS Tour-V 125 in my irons)

Agreed with this. I play Tour Issue X100 in my irons but my 52, 56, 60/64 I play the stock KBS and have zero issues.

Oh yeah. No flack against the stock shaft. It's been good to me thus far but, the more I've been playing with X100s in my iron set and my Vokeys with S400, this is just the last key to the puzzle. Like most of us, I want consistency in the game and bag throughout. From the irons, to the grips, and to the shafts. We will see what comes from this.

> What's the consensus between the 4 way and ATV grind on a 60 deg. Hi toe? I recently got a 56.10 to try and it is great to open up and for shots around the green but is worse then my previous Callaway md3 s grind from the sand.

I have a 64 (bent to 62) with the ATV grind. I find it to be very versatile. When set square and up to about 30 degrees open, the leading edge remains pretty flush to the ground. Opening it up for bunker shots or flops exposes more of the bounce.

Nah man, I'm with you. I like a specific feel and I want it through the whole bag. In the irons I play x100 and I have s400 in my Hi Toe wedges.

I've gotta disagree. The ATV has made flops super easy for me. It might be challenging on a super tight lie but in general I prefer the higher bounce.

Purchased one of these off the BST last night after looking them over for a while. I heard some people are not the biggest fan of the higher lofted ones (58,60,64) on full swings. Currently with my 58 i only use it inside of 60 yards and situation-ally i never take a full swing with the club so the versatility of the Hi-Toe sounds perfect to me. I snagged one in a 58 atv grind and hope to have it next week to try out. Ill hit some full swings on the range just to see what the fuss is but im excited to give it a go.

Great looking wedges, but I just can't get them dialed in. I have the 54 & 58. The 54 is very long on full shots compared to all my other wedges I've gamed and still game. The 58 is very inconsistent for me, it seems really hot. I'm going out now to give them another shot on my home course.

So got a call from my local shop that the ATV 60* heads are on backorder until the middle of June. So decided for now to go with the 4 way sole 60*. still super pumped.

@kgeorge78 . On the sim it was pretty good. not too high of a ball flight and didnt seem to balloon. I really like the KBS stock shaft that is in it. Good spin as well.

Since the ATV grind is backordered I was going to wait but couldn’t resist on a gently used 60* with ATV.

Question for you guys I got a deal on a used 56* hi toe and when I got home I realized the shaft label says hi rev 2.0 120ckhd88i6z9r0.jpeg

But my 60 degree hi toe hi rev shaft says 115.

qfce079302cf.jpeg

The Taylormade website has the hi rev 2.0 115 as the stock shaft. Conventional wisdom tells me that that whoever had the 56 before me slapped an aftermarket 120 shaft in it. My only curiosity is the shaft label is copper like the 115. Is the 120 stock for the 56?

Thanks as always guys

*****EDIT*****

Never mind I saw on the custom components for TM they offer both 115 and 120 in the HiRev shafts with the copper shaft label. Now I have a used 56 with 125g shaft and 60 with 115g shaft. Any sense is matching the 125g shaft in the 60 as well?

They offer both the 115 and 120 HiRevs through their "custom options." Interestung that the 115 is touted as lower launch than the 120.

I have the 115 in my 64 (bent to 62) and love that I can flight it down. Even on full swings it carrys the same yardage with lower peak height than my previous Ping 60

Worth the money to change the 56* with the 125g shaft to the 115 so it matches the lob? My iron set has PX LZ 120g shafts

No way. I wouldn't waste the time, effort, and money. Yours should match fine with the PX LZs, plus....in wedges, with such short shaft lengths, it's nothing to be concerned about. The 115 in your 60 might be a tad lower launching, but I find that to be a good thing in my 60 which I use mostly for partial swings anyway

For those playing the 56* wedge, how versatile is it

laying it open on 1/2 and 3/4 length shots? Or are you strictly using it in bunkers ? Is there a fair amount of relief in the heel for the standard bounce.

I have only had mine for a brief period but I found no issue with my 56/60 (both have the 4-way grind) to hit any sort of shot. I used it from the sand (super easy out), pitches and chips and liked how the club head set up. It felt like I could lower or raise my hands and have no issue with turf interaction on the sole/lie angle.

I also really liked that I could swing 75% and hit a little lower and more piercing shot than with my standard milled grind. I honestly wasn’t a believer that it would lower the launch but it did a little.

I am already preferrring the copper look to the satin and am looking for a hi toe 52 to replace my MG 52. Kinda stinks I shopped around to build my 52/56/60 milled grinds with steelfiber to now be in hi toe with stock kbs shafts.. ?

I have had zero issues with it thus far. I tend to play my short game shots with the “bounce” and didn’t notice any issues. I didn’t have any hard pan lies which may be the ultimate test.

I plan to do a long short game session with them this weekend.
