I'm the Mizuno staffer in the store. I've decided to go 4-6 Fli Hi and really toying with the idea to put the 7 Fli-Hi in also.

We have a couple par 3's that play over 165 with trouble on all sides. I'm so much more confident now on the tee of those holes.

As well as any hole where I am thst distance out in the rough. So much easier than trying get a 5 or 6 iron out of it.

I find myself myself trying to muscle longer irons to cover distances and they're even starting to get a little heavy! GASP! I've realized I had to make a change in order to start having fun again.

Distance or shaft wise?

Distance wise they are fitting perfectly the gap between the 7 and the hybrid.

Shaft, I can’t answer because g400 was my first owned set and length is the same

G25 still trumps both by a huge margin with an MPF of 821.

This is skewed by the vertical COG number to keep the ball down to a reasonable level. MOI is higher etc etc. Aside from sound/feel 410>400

Got my set of 410’s today 4- P, U, SW, new glide 3 58 degree wedge on order. All irons have PX LZ 5.5 stiff hard stepped one time. I have a set of Srixon z785’s & Z Forged as well, same setup. I just love having a set of Ping irons on hand all the time. For the last month I had the new Ping Blueprint irons with a shaft I never tried, I did hit fairly well but distance was an issue, so traded back in for 410’s. I’m playing them tomorrow, hope they do the job. I’ve lately enjoyed not much off set, and the 410’s look pretty nice.

It will be quite a change going to the 410's from the BP's but the performance of the 410's is off the charts. My 9 hole handicap has dropped from a 8 to a 6 and might even reach 5. Shot another 41 last night with 19 putts. Good Luck!

That sounds like the first day I played with the blueprint I hit 16 greens in regulation and had 45 putts, that was with a new putter not adjusted. I’ll let you know tomorrow

Just got mine back from Ping and not what I am looking for. I guess it's more shaft (AWT 2.0 Stiff) than head but something was just not right for my swing so sticking with my i200's Nippon NS Pro Modus3 Tour 105 Stiff.

I would not mind trying a set with the Nippon 105's or Steelfiber 95 /110 Regular as both shafts have been good fits for me.

Should just go get fit again as its been a few years since my last fill fitting but I guess I also enjoy the hunt for a certain set of clubs.

That's a bummer. I saw your listing on the BST earlier!

Well played 18 just now with new 410’s. Only hit the putting green before teeing off, took labels off and played.

Here’s how went! 6100 yard course

So when I say hit fairways, I’m referring to teeing off in general with a wood or some sort of an iron, could be short par 4 or 5.

Hit 10 of 13 fairways, there were 5 par 3’s,

10 of 18 GIR.

36 putts (sucks, but we’re talking punched greens, cut every 3 days now, Bermuda so slow and inconsistent.) it’s a new course for me too I’ve only been playing here two weeks and I came from a golf course that had the mini Verdi greens, like 12 on stemp meter.

Shot 80 so I’m saying yeah, I’m liking them, but I’m going to go see my buddy tomorrow and we’re going to check the loft and lie a little bit closer just to make sure some of the shots I had going right or left was lie or weight related. I hit the 8 on one hole today 170, the U wedge went 128 and high as heck.

I don’t think I ever hit a sand wedge that high, it came right down on the flag. And lastly here’s a screenshot of my 10th hole teeing off with a five iron.

If you're hitting it left AND right I don't think there is a lie problem Jerry. Just give them some time. In a 6 week period of time I've went from really liking my 410's to absolutely loving them.

Oh I’m giving them a chance but I’m not going to give into this old guy that playing with that you know , builds their own clubs telling me to change the shaft. I’m not gonna do that, especially when I have that in two sets and I love and I’ve had them in others. One thing I learned this morning from my fitter buddy was the lie was never checked on the machine and all things being the same I have the exact lie in two different sets of clubs and if I match the Pings, or at least tweak to match I will feel better, Plus I’m not a big fan like many people are of the lie board, due to the fact that it does not allow you to dig like I do. I have a very steep angle of attack on grass, and plus the board is elevated a little, the ball of a cart path effect, I’ve almost mastered that shot because it allows perfect contact on the club face! I actually have a piece of artificial turf that is almost as good as long and short grass and I am going to be doing the dynamic test where you put a vertical line on the ball with a sharpie and look at the mark on the club face, that is just as good if not better and I’m not going away from that opinion.
