Although I like my E-3 I felt like I'd want a mid-mallet shape at some point. This was cheap, gonna get it spec'd to me and refinished by Edel later this year or next at some point.

I'm not sure exactly what this thing is, but it was on ebay dirt cheap (no bids) and I thought it looked kinda cool. It actually has a nice weight/feel and works well with my stroke. The alignment system is very intuitive. I could see throwing it in the bag as a conversation starter from time to time.

Cool putter......would not suprise me if it was a Tad Moore custom...that pipe neck was

design he used on many of his putters.....

It definitely has a unique look. The ebay pictures weren't too detailed and information on the internet was almost nonexistent, so I assumed the "wood" part was actually wood. My plan was to make it a refinishing project, but I don't think it is actually wood at all. It sounds/feels like some sort of thermoplastic (like an Odyssee putter insert), so maybe it's covered with something like a simulated wood grain veneer then a layer of clear coat. It has a few brass plugs of different sizes and it's almost face balanced (slight toe hang), so obviously someone was going for a certain playing profile when they made it. The thing that confuses me most is that there are a couple of small nicks around the edges that actually do resemble the way wood would chip. I want to try unscrewing the base to see what I find under there, but I don't want to do anything that would potentially ruin it so I may just leave it as a mystery.

Head appears to be made from Micarta.... a thermoplastic resin and fabric material..

I’ve just bought this, bargain at £75 brand new when RRP is £250. No idea what it’s like, but the guy says the toe-hang is about 1/2.

 

I need help before I buy a Toulon. I probably have enough putters with seven. Mind you it is making me enjoy putting, and more to the point practising putting. It’s hugely better than it was 3 months ago, at least 5 or 6 shots per round better.
