Need 3 wood shaft recommendations - similar profile to Kuro Kage XD TX?

I've got a G400 3 wood with a Ping Tour 75 X. It's okay but there's just _something_ missing. I recently go a Kuro Kage XD TX for my Ping g400 driver and I absolutely love it. From what I've read, the Kuro Kage XD isn't a great option for three wood because once it's tipped it completely changes the feel. I'm no equipment expert and was hoping someone could tell me a good fairway shaft that'd feel similar to how the Kuro Kage XD feels in my driver.

I'm curious about this too. I have a 80 tx inbound and was wondering if its say tipped 2", would it have the opposite effect and make the shaft play softer?

I ended up buying a Kuro Kage XD for my three and I like it. My driver is tipped 1/2" so I tipped the three wood 1" and I like it.

@jetmech879 If you tip it 2", I can't see how that would make it play softer.

Thanks for the feedback! I will most likely tip it just an inch. I just got to thinking too much! Haha! I know I've heard from Graphite Design that if you tip over a inch, a very tip stiff shaft like a GP, it will actually mave the tip softer.

Oh yeah? Well maybe so. I'm no equipment expert by any means. I hadn't heard that, but definitely don't take my word as gospel.

It's quite possible that its specific to Graphite Design shafts. I called Mitsubishi and asked them and was told it would play like rebar if I tipped it 2 inches! Lol! So you are correct with your thinking. I will tip it an inch and roll with it.

Thanks to both of you for commenting. I actually ended up getting a Kuro Kage XD to match my driver but it's tipped .5" more than my driver with is what Mitsubishi Chemical recommends. So far I like it and it doesn't feel to stiff or anything. Love that shaft especially in driver.
