Replacement of Cobra F6 Baffler

I'd say go buy another baffler.

 

I've been thinking about buying a backup for mine just in case something ever happened

One of the best parts about the F6 baffler imo, is the heavier head. Makes getting the swing weight at a shorter playing length much easier. I've tinkered with the idea of trying the f8+ or f9 tour fairway heads, but they just play so light compared to the baffler. I'm not a fan of lead tape, nor do I have much access to someone who can hot melt.

 

F6 bafflers can be had for quite cheap on the bay.

Exactly! I bought a nice LTD Black 4-5 thinking it might replace the F6 baffler. But the Ltd was lighter feeling and longer shaft and just was not fun to hit. Took the LTd stock black rogue shaft and put it in the F6, choked down a bit as at full length it was D6 and boom the F6 is another level of hammer. Put it in play in matches and saw much improved height and distance. The F6 is special indeed. I may demo the F9 4-5 and see how it compares as the Ltd didn’t have rails. It is always amazing how shaft changes make a big difference.

I actually replaced my F6 with an LTD 4-5W because I wanted a shallower face.

 

As you pointed out the LTD is lighter but that was easily solved by taking out the space port and filling it with a mix of epoxy and lead powder. With the heavier setup the LTD is a bomber.

I've got an F7 5 wood and love it. A little hot melt and a shaft to match your swing and it's a gem. My 5 wood is actually a ladies model 3-4 (Lexi blue (paintfill) color on an otherwise black head), 17*-20*. Hurricane Golf sells the heads brand new for $45 shipped.

There is no replacement for the F6 Baffler. It's that special. Just find another F6 Baffler.

Thats great. Forgot how easy it is to adjust headweight with spaceport. Im on it !

Just picked up the F8+ 5W (on sale for 149 at TGW brand new). going to buy the same shaft as my 3W and cut it to 42 inches and try it out at 19 compared to my hybrid. super psyched to try it out.
