Recommendations wanted: practice putting surfaces/greens

Just cleared out space in my office to add a small practice putting green. With so many options out in the market, including all of the generic ones on alibaba, wondering if any of your wrx'ers had any experience with these types of practice greens and point me in the right direction of what to get. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I was looking for something temporary that I could roll out on either a carpet or hardwood floor and went with the below mat.

I was considering getting a Birdieball green for awhile but I never pulled the trigger on it. Curious to see if anyone has any experience with those and how they hold up over time?

I've had mine for a few weeks now. I really like it but can't speak to how well it will hold up. The only knock I have is the hole depth. I have the medium speed mat so it's not that big of a deal. I need to be able to roll my green up so the double thickness wasn't an option but I would definitely consider it for a more permanent placement. There are cup deepening shims but they give it a putt putt feel to me by creating a crowned hole. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and would make it again.

for those that have a mat, are you standing on the mat or do you stand on a separate unattached mat/platform. anyone using a putting mat on carpet?

i'll be getting something end of golf season and considering the breed putting mats or big moss, the mat linked above. i need something that can be moved and isn't permanent, but also want something that doesn't wrinkle or have built in break. i simply want to practice straight in putts from at least 6'-10'

I have a Boomerang in my office and it is awesome. Easy to put away and the way it works makes it easy to roll a bunch of putts in a short time. They are relatively short money also. I work from home and will roll putts while on conference calls all the time.

I did not buy an additional standing mat. There is plenty of room on the 3' wide mats. I have used the mat on carpet and hardwood with no noticeable difference.

The Starpro greens (also available at homedepot.com) are awesome. I got rid of a platform Pro Putt Systems/Tour Links for the Starpro. It works well on all surfaces and the portability is awesome. I can put it on the pool deck, in the basement, in the garage. I went with the 9 x 15, gives me way more angles than the 4 x 13 tour links platform I used to have.

Edit- I had a Big Moss prior to both. While it was fun, I wouldn't consider it in the same class as the Starpro or tour links, nor was it good practice imo. The foam backed 'ramp' is just not realistic and the surface is more carpet-like than turf. If you want it for quality practice, then I feel you have to go for a more quality surface like Pro Putt Systems of Starpro turf.

I'm going with Starpro myself. Had a guy from Intelliturf or whatever out to house Sunday afternoon. $15,000 for a suggested 1,000 feet...ah no thanks. Looked at Pelz' SYNlawn and not so good reviews...especially customer service and the holes not matching up with the base. I have a pretty big patio and I'll just lay it on there and be done OR build a concrete foundation in the yard. I ain't that handy so probably not.
