Cobra's new King F9 Speedback Driver, Woods, Hybrids and Irons (NO BUY SELL TRADE POSTS)

Still blown away by the F9, 9 with stock Atmos Blue 6s. It's forgiving and crazy long. 2 range sessions and 1 round so far, so very new obviously but my average drive was easily 20-30 yards longer than my typical, and a few were +40-50. Best of all, they all stayed in play, no major big misses.

Yeah I'm kind of dumbfounded at how much less club I'm now hitting into long holes. It's really made some of the tougher courses I've been playing more attainable.

Driver didn't quite work out for me, but may have been for lack of a properly fit shaft. I did get the F9 3w and played it on the course yesterday and I have to say, this might be the 3w that ends the search for 3w!!! SUPER easy to hit off the deck, long, forgiving.... I don't think I could ask for more honestly. It's paired with the Atmos blue 7s, I absolutely love it!!!!

Two holes last week. 1, scorecard said 424, the one drive all day I forgot to track lol, I had 95 in. Even if it was 390, huuuuuge drive for me and had 3 others tracked that were 291-298. Another that was 420, had 115 in (that was the 298 tee ball). I cannot overstate how much I have loved my F8+ driver, but the F9 is crazy next level for me.

First round out yesterday with the new shaft in the f9. Wow! It's like a totally different club now. Had to do a tweaking but ended up with the 14g in front and put a 6g in the back. Low bullets with lots of roll every time now. Hit one of the longest drives I've ever hit, too. Short par 4 371 yards, I had 41 yards left. I've never hit a 56* or 60* wedge into as many greens as I did yesterday.

Played Monday, my partner and I played from the tips (we usually play white tees), these 2 drives therefore were 15-20 yards back from normal, both of these drives were 20-30 yards past my previous long drives for each hole (and 10th hole is downhill). That said, you can see on 10 drive I scored like crap. 3 penalties on front 9 and short game was non-existent. But the driver remains a beast, now it's time to work on everything else.

I really want to like the driver but have not found the shaft that works best yet... I am thinking Atmos black TS maybe as anything else besides something too stiff, seems to spin off the planet.. Tried the Atmos Blue TS today, still, spun a bit much and carry numbers were down... Anyone finding this thing to spin up too much? Even with the weight forward it was still spinning a bit, better, but still in the high 2000s for me. Love the feel of this thing, though.

I have the TS Atmos Black 6x and it still spins quite a bit. Have weight back though. I'm still hitting it plenty far but yeah - it'll spin for sure.

Im all but done with the driver. Just cannot get it dialed in. Added weight to head, moved weight around, different shafts, etc...its just so inconsistent. I hate tinkering too. The 3w rocks and it is solid in my bag. Played Monday, was terrible with driver, cost me several strokes and I had to bust my Word not allowed just to shoot a 79. Not worth the struggle.

Are you sure about that? haha kidding.

Either going back to my LTD Pro or might give the M5 a whirl.

Interesting.. Doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble to me either, but I agree on the 3w... beastly. I did hit the M5 the other day, it feels really nice. Was hitting it with the Atmos red 5s which is a bit noodly and could create more spin than I need and it was still spinning lower than the F9. I do recommend trying it, I think with the right shaft it could be a great driver. For now, I'll be sticking with my M2.

Ive hit the M5 several times. UST Proforce V2 6f4 shaft. Id probably tip it 1/2" or so. I hit it well - the times I have demo'd the club. Its the 9 or 9.5 head, and I loft it down 1*. Weights are both back and opposite one another, 1 to extreme heel and 1 to extreme toe. Club just wants to hit nice easy cuts, which is my preference. I setup to it slightly open and make a real smooth swing to it. Just does what I want it to.

Wait, did I just talk myself into that thing?

I haven't posted anything in a while, but had to add my 2 cents on the F9 driver.

I've lost a step or 2 in the last couple of years, but gained it back with this driver. Tour length with the heavier weight in the front and a light 55 gm Tensei shaft. Straight mid trajectory ball flight that my buddies call "boring". Fine by me as long as I continue to take their $.

Averaged over 280 in total driving distance for the first time in 6 years. Hit one 299 yards that was straight on a rope. I wanted so badly to walk the 1 extra yard, but it would have been a hollow victory.

Nice drive!

I’ve only played the front 9 there. But, I’ve been to the course multiple times as a coach for the High School State Championship. Tough track! That’s a really narrow corridor to hit through on 14. And if you hit it a little right, water comes into play with the kick off the downslope.

How did you play?

Shot 76 (all birdies on the back 9), started the day with a double bogey thanks to a shanked lob wedge into the drink (I binned the lob wedge), but settled down once I realized the greens played exactly the same as Los Colinas in terms of the effect of grain on putt speeds (twice as fast as against it so anything above the pin is DOA).

That is a fantastic score there.

My number one player. who is scratch, shot a 78, 82. He kept hitting his approaches above the cup.

So true, anything above the cup is DOA. I saw two kids putt off the green on that one hole—#4 I think, that you hit over the water to a severe uphill fairway. Brutal.

Great round! ????

Now that I have a reliable driver that lets me hit 275 in play on bad shots it has changed my game. I still have a Summer of training and yoga to do so I am hoping by the end of Summer I will be north of 300 regularly.

Only thing left to do in the bag is reshaft and regrip my iBlades, but that may not be in the budget till September. Probably at that time I will need new wedges as well.

Bought the f9 avalanche 9 degree the other day without hitting a demo. Struggling a little with it. Have the Atmos black TS 7stiff. Thinking about going with the same Shaft that I love in my Rogue SZ. The Evenflow blue 6.5 65gram. Anyone hit that shaft a like it in the F9? I know the camo masters version came stock with it so maybe I can find a used shaft with the cobra tip ready to go.

Another that was 420, had 115 in (that was the 298 tee ball). I cannot overstate how much I have loved my F8+ driver, but the F9 is crazy next level for me.

> -------

> Played Monday, my partner and I played from the tips (we usually play white tees), these 2 drives therefore were 15-20 yards back from normal, both of these drives were 20-30 yards past my previous long drives for each hole (and 10th hole is downhill). That said, you can see on 10 drive I scored like crap. 3 penalties on front 9 and short game was non-existent. But the driver remains a beast, now it's time to work on everything else.
