1) Stupid Opinion

2) Dumb Opinion

Glad that the stigma is being lost on push carts.

I am GenX.  If you really think I care about what you have to say, I don't.

Of course the push carts are easier to use. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.....still doesn't make them right.

Ah yes, things modernize. I can only assume that when you need a tooth pulled that you tie a string to the tooth, the other to a horse and crack a whip. Giddy UP!!!!

It's no fun when the rabbit's got the gun.

I'm all about boys having testicular fortitude and sacking up but the risk here isn't worth the reward.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Agree 2putt, wouldn't be the first time :) Interesting though how folks get pretty worked up over the push carts.

I think you're missing the true issue. Your quote, "Interesting though how folks get pretty worked up over the push carts" should read... Interesting though how folks get pretty worked up over _**their kids health**_.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Hahaha I love it. They look stooopid! My reply at eight years of age would be "you look stoooopid!!"

Great entertainment again this year. Loved the big upset. Can't wait to see Hovland and Wolff in the bigs. Push on boys, there's no such thing as a real man anymore!

I loved that Cole Hammer was beaten so decisively when it mattered. I don't know anything about him other than he looks like the type of smug kid I'd like to punch in the face. His reaction after losing was exactly what I expected...clasped hands for perhaps 1/2 of a second and didn't slow down at all or appear to look his vanquisher in the eye.

I still have an old pull cart hanging from specially installed hooks in the roof of the garage. I haven't used it in decades but those are awesome memories. I have no idea how it ever became push cart instead of pull cart. We would have laughed like heck at anyone pushing.

Yeah, Hammer did not look pleased with his performance. His handshake was bush league. That’s why I was so impressed with Wolff. He seems to have a really good attitude; maybe the best I’ve seen out there.

Wolff's future is pretty certain in going pro. Hammer has a few more years to prove himself before he's ready IMO. I'm sure he's looking to speed up the process and losing is probably a setback to him.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Sometimes I wonder if guys like that have more expectations set upon them with a name like Cole Hammer.

Wolff and Hovland for sure. Hammer needs to gain about 30 yards wouldn't you say? I'm not sure what his average driving distance is, but the commentators kept saying he's on the shorter side.

There's an article in Golfworld from Nov 2017 that says, "Hammer’s ball speed is 158-160 miles per hour, which gives him the ability to fly it 260-270 yards.". So yes, another 30 yards of carry would be great.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

About the push carts, I found it most surprising that they were taking their carts right up to the edge of the greens, like on the collar. That would not fly at the courses I tend to play. Is that allowed at most courses?

Another thing I noticed was guys walking away from the green when their opponent was still putting out, which does not seem too cool to me. Is that a common thing in college golf? What happened to etiquette?

Also heard that Hammer won US Kids Worlds as a 12 yr old and guess who finished T68 in 2011? > @"Sonja Henie" said:

I think its pretty common. I've never been to a course where they say the push carts are not allowed near the green.

Isn't this done to speed up play a bit?

Yeah, it's fun to watch. I couldn't help but notice the sound over my little tv speaker when Wolff hits the ball. He just smashes its guts out. Very talented too. I have it recorded and have only gotten through about 2/3 so far. I really enjoy watching the college kids play.

I was moved quite a bit by the story about the SMU coach losing his wife. What a beautiful lady she was... I also was rooting for the lone Hilltopper in the competition. Seemed like our next Bubba Watson, without the complications. Neat young man.

It is a bit annoying. My son plays scpga tournaments and kids do this all the time. For some reason, my son is always the last one on the green too. His marker just asks 'what did you get?' If the other kid just stayed green side a few seconds longer, he would know and could verify the score. Not only that, but some of the kids are really loud and distracting as they move to the next tee.

Love watching the NCAA's for the men and ladies every year. As a former college player myself I love the team element. And the all 5 players playing a hole each in the playoff is AMAZING

Hammer disappointed me in his finals loss. You can't be Mr Happy when you beat Wolff and then a crybaby suck when you lose the next day. You can't play your best golf day to day, too many ebbs and flows
