I'm the Surge fiend. Some people pound coffee in the morning, I down energy drinks as my morning fuel.

That being said this trip is awesome!

The amount of patents is dizzying. Mike Sullivan of Titleist is listed as one of the top 50 inventors in history. Not just in golf.

Titleist’s first patent was for a ball demonstration machine.

I can’t even put into words everything that was just shown to us. The amount of detail they put into every aspect of creating every ball in their lineup not just the Pro V1 line is insane. Such a cool experience getting a behind the scenes look at R&D. Eating some lunch now then heading to Manchester lane for some product testing.

When you get time please elaborate what the major differences are please. I play the Prov1x but always really wondered what the major differences are in some manufacturers.

Big thing is consistency between the balls. Only two ball companies do their own manufacturing completely. A couple do some and outsource the rest

And the majority of companies completely outsource the ball making. Doesn’t mean they’re bad balls but differences in consistency even in the same dozen can be alarming.

They have a wall that shows different ball brands but they’re all the same ball (cover/dimples/core/etc) just different markings for said brand.

Forever Changing at this point.......
