I would rather have a trigger than watching someone who looked like they had a stroke pre-swing and just stands over the ball forever wondering if my feed froze on me...

Is that because it triggers a reaction in everyone who sees it...haha.

It'll be fun to watch.

Honestly, I never understood why everyone freaks out about the BS. Heck, isn't it basically the classic loop drill to feel shallow? Have people not seen Calvin Peete's home made swing?

Agreed. Some people need to be reminded of what Arnold Palmer once said:

“Swing Your Swing”

“Not Some Idea of A Swing”

“Not A Swing You Saw On TV”

“Not That Swing You Wish You Had”

“No! Swing Your Swing”

“Capable of Greatness, Prized Only By You”

“Perfect In Its Imperfection”

“Swing Your Swing”

“I Know I Did!”

There is a hotshot player coming out of college every year, but they can't all win multiple majors and tour events. And Koepka wasn't even that good in college compared to someone like Ryan Moore and look at them both now.

There's only 2-3 players in any generation that can be the dominant ones. Is he really better than Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau in college? What are their projections? Being as good as Rickie Fowler in category 4 would be doing very well.

Wolff has a lot going for him.

He's been winning at every level so far. He's got length/power, and a good head. Most importantly he seems to have faith in HIS move. Its unconventional, but he OWNS it. I think for this reason he'll be less likely to tinker and I'm sure given his age, he truly believes he's just getting started. Impossible to forecast his ultimate success, but I believe the odds are good that he'll eventually be a top 20 OWGR player and stay there for a significant time frame.

P.S. OP, not sure why you've written Rickie off to whatever category you described, but at 30 he's got plenty of time to win majors, and I believe he eventually will.

Who knows, that's what the OP is asking us to predict.

rickie hasn't won a major ...

someone who makes it to the pga tour, even only for 1 year, isn't a "bum" ... the OP hasn't made it to the tour or even tried, so i suppose he/she is a "bum" in the fullest sense of the word ...

if he's "overhyped", it's because of the general golfing public ... that's not on him ...

he's trying to become a professional golfer and be the best he can ... like all golfers, i hope he succeeds as much as possible ... statistically speaking, given his college performance, he will win about 5 events over the course of a 20 year career ...

His body is literally jumping back outta the way through the ball (watch his feet), that can't be something that really is gunna hold up under pressure. But bubba does that and has 2 green jackets so who knows.

I wouldnt go as far as saying he "stole" it. He incorporates some aspects of the A swing. He teaches a lot of lower body moves and shoulder rotation that isnt always seen as conventional. GG definitely teaches his own way and doesn't copy and paste a previously portrayed swing

How is his short game?

I predict 5-10 career wins, one being a major. Unless he develops a Tiger like short game, then he could go next level.

But I'm just making stuff up, I had never heard of him till the other day.
