Does anyone know if the lie angle on these can be bent rather than only adjusted via the adapter?

Picked up a GAPR Lo 2 Head only killer deal last week that arrived yesterday. I took the shaft our of my M1 hybrid just to see how it it looked and man that is a sharp looking club IMO. Not overly huge at address but it is a bit bulkier then the P790 and UDI no doubt. Now starts the search for the perfect shafts to test in this next spring. I already have a HZURDZ Black and I'm going to look for a couple more low spin / launch shafts to put adapters on.

So, is the GAPR mid like replacing the 5W? While I love my F7 5W sometimes I hook it off the planet and then just end up never hitting it because of the hooker thoughts in my head. Wondering if these are less prone to the lefts.

honestly, you might have to have it bent flat. if flatter, it will toe down easier and keep it from going left so often.

i know this b/c i've had a tendency, with hybrids only, that they like going left-- and i've had a few of mine bent 1-2* flat and it's done the trick.

Good idea. Ive had te same issue with hybrids and Titleist H2's usually let me configure them anti left and help.

The shape and offset of the mid make it a hook machine. Might be great for your weekend slicer. Otherwise junk.

790 is the best club tm has made in a decade.

Agreed

Agreed...but: I hit both in the 2 iron. The 790 looks better to me (I like thin topline, etc) and feels great when you hit it correctly, BUT, the GAPR is definitely more forgiving. Heel and toe, high and low all will not kill the shot like the 790. If you consisently hit the sweetsopt then 790 is the way to go, if not, GAPR is the way. This is just my opinion, I only play to a 7 with 105 ish driver speed if that gives any indication. At my SS or higher, both are easy to put in the bag. Distance was about the same, maybe GAPR slightly longer, but dispersion was way tighter with GAPR and mishits is not even close. Too bad the price point is high at $250, such is the cost of being a club ho.

Note this is for the GAPR Lo, Mid and Hi were too chunky looking

I have the Lo #2 with a premium shaft and I can hit a baby fade all day with it 240-250. On wetter days I have the loft up a little to 18*. On windy days its down to 17* or less. I absolutely love it. It is forgiving and if you hit it out of the center it feels awesome.

What shaft are you playing in yours?

playing the 2 lo which I had built by TM 1/2 longer and HZRDUS 6.0. Easy to find fairway off the tee and giving me a nice mid high flight and up to 235 yds. Confidence inspiring. What I did not expect was to be able to hit it offf the deck instead of my hybrid which I tend to hook. So impressed I ordered a GAPR HI 4 and am waiting on it to arrive. Also picked up a high toe wedge and love it but that’s another topic

I loved the feel and performance of the GAPR Mid 4 (21 degree). It gave me perfect numbers, easy and straight.

But I am having a hard time getting past the looks. They are some of the ugliest clubs I have ever seen. The shape is weird, the graphics are cheesy and the color scheme is just atrocious. I can't believe so many people at TaylorMade (probably hundreds, all told) looked at this design and signed off on it.

Having said all that, I can't deny the performance. I'm still considering a GAPR Mid 3 to compete with my P790 UDI-2, but I would honestly have to get a new head cover to "hide" it in my bag, and I might even go so far as to strip all of the green paint fill. (That might actually look passable -- an all black/silver GAPR.)

Have a GAPR Mid and its being replaced with the UDI

In possibly should have gone with the Low version, but alas , like others the experiment hasnt worked for me like the idea of the versatility in the GAPR range but the Mid is clunky. Just need to find a spare shaft for it and it will be going on the Bay when the UDI arrives.

My advice is go hit them if your looking at them

Our SS is the same and I recently had a fitting with TM. Both GAPR lo and hi fitted with KBS 80x. Performed well but not much if any improvement over my Adams hybrids.
