I wish yours looked like the BB version, his head is basically a very close copy of Tiger's NP2 tri-sole, while your San Diego is like a standard NP2. I really like the long cavity in the BB, and the ultra smooth topline-to-shoulder transition. The thin flange/bumper trisole is beautiful as well, sleak and not the least bit chunky, unlike the NP2.

Blayne could stand a bit more practice and a little less putter head designing. Cameron had to be giving him the side eye after a while. I know, I know he's light years superior to me (fact).

It's not the same. There was another model Toulon made for tour players, can't find the pictures now. But it was very similar to the BB model, was a one-piece tri-sole design. I still recall them saying these putters were coming out and then they never did.

That was the Santa Monica prototype. But I contacted Augie about it and was specifically told no retail plans for that model.

They did do a release of basically the same putter over in Japan - the San Proto - I'd love to find one. Anyone know how to order off of Odyssey's Japan site?

To my eye the Japanese San Proto is just a one-piece tri-sole of the San Diego. It's not the same. 

 

The BB Proto has longer cavity due to different shoulders, slightly smaller and softer bumpers, topline a touch narrower and flatter, also heel shoulder transition is curved instead of straight. Lots of slight differences. 

 

The BB Proto / Santa Monica ticks all the boxes. Looks incredible from address. I would love to track one down. Maybe Mr. Toulon will read this and offer to sell me one. Haha. 😂

I agree there are differences between the San Proto and the BB proto but I still think the San Proto is closer than a regular San Diego. Even the Garage San Diego versions are farther away. I'd love to see a Santa Monica release even in a small batch as the Santa Monica appears even closer.
