Bonobos golf shirts

Firstly apologies got another thread asking for info on clothing fit. It’s tricky buying US only gear when totes in the UK. It’s fine ask g the online seller to compare eabd fit with brand fit but real life experience is probably better.

So, I’m a large in everything Nike golf and 36 waist in golf pants. I’m looking at Bonobos shirts. They are are described as slim fit but please can anyone comment on whether a Nike large = Bonobos large. Also would Bonobos slim fit Highland pants size the same as Nike?

Thanks for any help on this help. Can’t find the answer on any existing threads.

Bonobos offers a few different fits. Their polos come in slim and standard. I think their standard is on par sizing with Nike and under Armour (I wear a large in those brands, and standard L with bonobos). Their pants come in four different fits. I’m usually a 36 in adidas and under Armour (haven’t had Nike shorts in a while) and find either the 35” or 36” work great. I prefer the athletic fit on the highland, but have the slim in their chinos for work. Hope that helps! If not, bonobos service is really good, I’d bet they could measure a shirt width for you.

Peculiar, as JR is their new rep for golf. Have yet to try their golf polos but I buy shirts and pants from them regularly. The best cut for chinos, imho, is the tailored fit. OTOH, a couple short sleeve dress-like shirts I bought from them in slim are too tight. Look like their made for very young guys. Love their summer weight highland pants.

Agree with the comments above, Bonobos L Standard = Nike L. On the pants, I tend to find the Bonobos run a hair larger than Nike, probably in part because of the curved waistband and a bit more stretch in the fabric. Slim and Standard pants actually fit pretty similarly through the waist and thighs, the only really difference is below the knee where the standards open a bit wider.

I wear a Bonobos Slim Large and a Adidas Adicross Medium, in Adidas t-shirts I usually wear a large. I've found most of the Bonobos shirts fit the same although I bought a shirt that was more of a performance material and that fit tighter than my other slim larges.

I grabbed a Bonobos shirt from Marhsall's recently. Small fit true to size, although Marshall's only had them in 'regular fit' and I would have liked if they had them in 'slim fit' instead. Oh well, for $25 I'm not complaining.
