The turf interaction for me was absolutely perfect...seriously thinking about getting these even thou I love my Apex/Pro 19's... I hit them back to back with the Miura MC-501's and preferred the feel of the Blueprints. Whats the best place to order Ping from these days?

Loyalty: gotcha. Same reason I'd go with - my fortunately for me - good local shop.

Good to hear you've found a place that works for you.

I wish I had a store in my area that had competent staff working there. I love giving the local guys business.

Hope this hasn’t been talked about before (did do a search) but does anyone find it very odd that Ping is not offering the Blueprints in anything more upright than green dot? I can’t think of a single iron since they came out with their dot system that wasn’t offered in all codes.

As a tall, short armed Ping loyalist for almost 25 years I have ordered Eye2’s, Zing2’s, ISI’s, i10’s, S59’s, S57’s, and S55’s in my specs with no problems, but when I put in my order this month for a i500 / Blueprint combo I was told the Blueprints could not be ordered in anything more upright than green. I’m shocked, and considering one of their current hashtags is #fittingmatters I don’t understand why they wouldn’t take care of their white, silver, and maroon players with one of the most anticipated players irons they have ever released.

Does anything of this make sense?

Probably related to the fact that they are also the first iron in memory without the hosel notch. I'm guessing they were not comfortable bending that much.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

Being a Black dot player, I never would have noticed, wow ?. Took mine out for 9 holes today, going to have to re-visit my fitter, either the swing weight is off or too lite of shaft. My Srixon Zforged have PX LZ 115’s these new BP’s have DG 105, probably around 98g, when test the demos they had DG 120 hit well so may need to move my PX’s out of my spare Z785 irons or drop in the DG120’s S. To be truthful I’ve never really questioned the swing weight on a new iron, it’s always been the shaft and if the lighter shaft is throwing off the swing weight then I guess that’s it, The guys at Continental Golf will take a look at it tomorrow, I’m gonna hit their blueprint with the 120, my 7-iron Srixon with the project X and my blueprint with the 105 & see what the best results come out.

But that new bruser putter that thing really puts well. I like that face with no grooves on it getting a little tired of cleaning the dirt out of the face of every putter lately.

Seems weak... they had no problem bending rock hard Eye2 castings forever. For such a small % of the golfing population, but such a loyal fitting following it’s really very surprising.

You might give customer service a shout. They may expand that later, or at least tell you what's up. They could bend those rock hard things because they were designed with that notch...

I don’t know how old you are, but there were no notches for the majority of Ping’s existence. Maroon dots have been around since Eye2’s

If you look back on the Eye2, you'll see that there's a narrow, more flexible area to bend the club than any of the more recent cast shapes. Those more modern shapes needed some place to bend that would not snap the hosel. Nothing wrong with it, but it's a different engineering issue, I think. The BP bend might not even be a problem technically; that's an unanswered question. They could be fine, and someone didn't put the full colour gamut in the database you're ordering from? ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Hmmm. I will say that they play somewhat upright to me. Maybe give it at shot at the most you can order and then just have them bumped more if need be. They bend easy. I’ve weakened my loft a hair yesterday to test gaps on the pw.

Tested the BPs a couple times so far and by far I like them the best compared to the Apex MBs, Srixon Z-Forged, and MP-18s. Since most of the test demo clubs I tried had the DG 120s shafts glued to them, what would be the best method to test multiple shafts on the club to ensure you are getting fitted correctly? Would you do the testing on an iBlade in hopes to replicate testing on a BP?

Club Champion over in Bellevue would be your best chance to try out multiple shafts.

Although someplace like Puetz should have the shaft options too, I would have thought.

Went to Puetz Driving Range and they only had the glued shafts. I may call Club Champion. I have a feeling Ping didn't put out demo heads for the BPs to test different shafts. I was finding the same situation with the Apex MBs.

What’s killing me is that the inevitable biblical four day flood came just after me getting 27 holes in with these and now I’ve had to settle for wet range time for 10 or so days. Had been dry for 34 days. I knew these new irons would bring rain. Maybe some relief Saturday.

I'm so psyched. Ping is having a demo day at my local track and I get to hit the PW, 7 and 4. I know I'm ordering the 8-PW, but it will be great to see just how easy/hard the 4 and 7 are to hit. Only 3 more sleeps...

@bladehunter did you post some pics that I missed of the Blue's?
